We stayed here for one night at the end of our road trip. The room in the annex building was fine and the bed was comfortable. Receptionist was not particularly friendly and didn't bother to inform us of the happy hour with wine and cheese. The large breakfast promised in our Expedia booking however was nothing like large and I... More

We didn't want to stay in SF so headed straight out from the airport toward the coast - it only took about 20 mins. We arrived late at night and that was no issue as they had told us how to access after hours. Our Room was huge - 2 queen beds -and then a large bathroom with a roll... More

We found this place by chance without reading any reviews in advance and I have to say I don't understand/agree with the comments here. The receptionist welcomed us with wine and snacks, showed us the room before we payed for it and was ready to answer al our questions. The style and atmosphere of this place is very charming, with... There was a lot to like about Zaballa House- it was clean and roomy and the bed was comfortable. $25 pet fee seemed a bit steep, but always grateful to have nice places to stay with my dog. But our second floor room while very large was without charm- bare walls, sparsely furnished- and seemed designed by someone with no... More

Very disappointed in our recent stay at Zaballa House!! The staff couldn't "find" our paid-for reservation when we arrived but said "luckily" they had a room for us. We were given room 9. (Informed us later they "found" our reservation.) Room was clean but uncared for. Tub and sink were almost rusted through from constant water drips.(Aren't we still in... More

The Zaballa house is OLD!!! It needs some TLC. The information we got from them said we had a TV, phone, shower, & other amenities and we didn't have any of that. We had a jetted tub with a hand held shower head. The furniture was old and not very clean. There were ants in the bathroom and the paint... More

Came for a birthday weekend. Wanted to be in town where we could walk to restaurants & shops. Stayed in the modern annex, but would have preferred the historic house. The room was basic, clean, and covered all our needs. It was situated at the back of the property and was quiet. Breakfast was excellent in the morning and the... More

BEWARE!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! Their BNB stands for Bed and the Beast!! The 4'11 elderly woman in her mid 80's running the front desk is absolutely awful! I stayed here with my husband this past weekend for my birthday hoping to have a nice relaxing weekend but let me tell you it was anything but that. To start, I... More

I see some bad reviews for this place but we had no such issues. We were in room 29 which is one of the top floor rooms on the north side annex. It was reasonably quiet. We stayed in August -so middle of summer - and the room was nice and cool. We used the ceiling fan and had the... More

Our room was wonderful! We didn't hear any traffic, there was a fireplace, a couch, and it was very spacious. The breakfast was wonderful, as were the staff. We will definitely stay here again! They were pet friendly . There is great shopping in walking distance as well as shops right outside of the motel. We walked to get a... More
