Considering that it is right on the plaza and just a couple doors down from Matheson's Restaurant, this was a great value. We managed to book a room on very short notice and management made sure that the wine and cheese would be available for us upon arrival even though it was after their serving time. The front desk was able to secure us a reservation at Matheson's as well for the same evening. It is an older hotel, so the room may not have been as quiet as a newer place (mechanical and AC noise), but overall the room was comfortable and met our expectations, and the price was great considering the location. High ceilings with a skylight that had a shade that we opted not to close, and there is a common balcony outside the upstairs rooms where you can sit. Great breakfast in the upstairs dining room. The room has a lovely looking fireplace that I was warned did not work before I finalized my reservation, but since it was a 90 degree day, who cares?…

Cozy and historic Inn on the Plaza with modern updates and amenities. The staff was friendly and attentive and the breakfasts (which were different every day) were well prepared and served in an inviting dining area with large windows overlooking the Plaza. This inn also included afternoon home baked cookies and a wine & cheese hour. The location was perfect to walk to restaurants, tasting rooms, art galleries and boutiques. This was a fantastic "home base" while in the wine country.

Initial booking process is ok. Parking wasn’t an issue because we didn’t stay parked in the area during the day. But if you plan to hang around- you will need to plan accordingly and the hotel is hands off about parking. Arrival and check in were smooth at 5pm. The person who checked us in was nice and friendly. I’m sure the breakfast/wine and cheese hour are nice but cannot say because I did not partake. The comfort of the guest room is where it needs a few updates. The shower heads either need replacing or to be soaked in vinegar and cleaned. The fan makes noise and shakes so we couldn’t even run it, especially at night. I was definitely afraid of decapatation during my sleep by fan. And if your partner gets up in the middle of the night? Forget about it. The light from the French doors wakes the whole room up. I’m surprised they aren’t curtained with fine linen drapery. Instead cheap Amazon flammable see thru sheers. The French doors are eqsuisite and absolutely belong. But they need real curtains to block light at night. Both chairs were old and stained… but one so much worse than the other. Puke. In addition to all of this it was raining with fall foliage. The entry ways and floors were not maintained properly they were not swept by morning nor had adequate rugs and or safety signs that these conditions were extra slippery and use extreme caution. One narrow rug on the inside, that was obsolete, I’d try to wipe my boots on it and still track water across the beautiful lobby floors. Not my problem I guess..? (Until it was) I guess the city or the businesses doesn’t want to ruin the aesthetic of the tile entry way with a practical door mat. And you can’t run the AC or heat without it being harsh loud air. So we didn’t bother trying to regulate the room Temperature with it. We used the fire place that had heat- but the flames didn’t work. As I write this- I think the whole thing needs some TLC. Please go into room 8 and run all of its equipment to see for yourself the conditions your products are in. Internet was fine. Nothing to jump for joy over but also no complaints. TV is old. Fireplace flames didn’t work. And the HVAC system needs major maintenance because it is not working properly. Such a cute building, with friendly staff. Great location. But it needs some TLC. …

Great location, friendly staff who make you feel like one of the family. Wine and cheese each evening a nice touch. Our room had mainly internal walls which made it dark, and view from balcony at the back wasn't great, but room was spacious.

The location could not be better. The hotel is an old Wells Fargo Stage coach repair shop. It has bikes (just ok ones, but they were fine), and it had a nice freshly cooked breakfast that started at 8am. The coffee was available by about 6:30. We enjoyed our stay, but one of the wine tastings (which they do every evening), the bar where they put the food was covered in ants. It killed the wine tasting and the subsequent breakfasts for us. However, there is a nice French bakery very close that had one of the best chocolate croissants that I have ever had. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The Healdsburg Inn on the Plaza is a charming place to stay. Our room was very comfortable and the location is perfect. The breakfast and the afternoon snacks were excellent. We want to thank Jules for making our stay so perfect. Jules was the perfect hostess. I hope Management knows that you have a gem of an employee.

I just stayed at this hotel for the first time and was very pleased. The location on the plaza was excellent. It was two doors down from the Matheson restaurant which was excellent. My room #3 facing the street was very quiet. Couldn't hear anything. The bed was firm, but comfortable. My room had a jacuzzi tub and a walk in shower. Breakfast was just OK. Overall, I loved it and would visit again. Staff was very helpful.

Beautiful stay on the square in Healdsburg! The Inn is right on the main square, surrounded by excellent restaurants and boutique shops. The rooms are beautiful, this was my second stay and found rooms consistent. We had a electric fireplace and it was very nice on a winter night. Bed was very comfortable with premium bedding. Very nice add is some bottled water included in the room. All the staff are very welcoming and attentive. There was a very nice wine hour, small snacks and lovely local vintner hosting. We got a great recommendations to Valette, and The Matheson, we ended up at The Matheson only because Valette was fully booked, but their staff were amazing on recommendations for drinks at Burdock. Enjoy all the local places.
