Its a beautiful place to stay with very friendly and warm staff at the resorts. We were given a thorough brief of the resorts and what we can do. The cabin is heated very well, warm floors and air cons to keep us warm throughout the stay. Love the breakfast and dinner while looking at the reindeer we get to feed earlier(can get the moss at their reception entrance). Thank you so much for the pleasant experience.

We loved the glass cabins at this hotel. With three solid walls of windows, your chances to view the Northern Lights were vastly increased. It was also a great thought to add adjustable beds, to increase views through the great windows. The bed was very comfortable and the cabin was nicely laid out. We were surprised to find out each cabin only has twenty minutes of hot water before needing to refill. However, we were warned upon check-in and were able to plan our showers accordingly. We would absolutely stay here again and loved the property.

My husband and I visited the Northern Lights Ranch in February 2022. We were originally supposed to visit in March 2020 but it obviously got postponed when the world shut down for the pandemic and Northern Lights Ranch was so great about working with us through two years of postponements. It was absolutely worth the wait! The cabins are even more beautiful than they look in photos. We stayed in cabin 11, which wasn't too far of a walk from the main building. The door of the cabin enters into a mudroom-like space where there was a radiator and coat hooks, which was perfect for drying off our winter coats and boots. A second door leads to the main cabin where there was a living area with a table and mini fridge, then the bedroom area. The bedroom is lovely - surrounded by windows (but with curtains, for privacy) and a glass ceiling to enjoy the Aurora. There are lovely accent lights along the wall behind the bed. The room also had plenty of additional lighting as well, which came in handy when we both needed extra lighting to get some work done. The wifi connection was excellent too! The bed was decently comfortable - two twin-size mattress pads that made up a king-size-like sleeping area. The room had radiant floor heating, as well as a wall heating/air conditioning unit that helped us keep the temperature comfortable. There was a little room with a futon and television off the main living area but we didn't watch any tv. The bathroom was sufficient for our needs. The receptionist had warned us that the hot water could run out quickly but we never had any issues with it. Obviously, the biggest draw of these cabins is the stunning view of the Aurora and the view was even more spectacular than we had imagined! Northern Lights Ranch has a sensor that works with an app that you download to your phone to notify you when the lights are visible. I think it was $0.99 for 2 days of notifications and you can set it to alarm on your phone, even if it's on Do Not Disturb. We stayed for 6 nights and had the Aurora for only 1 night but it was the most magical, unforgettable experience. The forecast had shown clouds but it somehow ended up being clear with just some snowflakes and we got to watch the lights in the sky from around 8pm until about 6am the next morning. This place would be worth a visit just for that one night alone! Views of the Northern Lights aren't the only reason to visit, though. Words can't describe how beautiful and peaceful everything about Northern Lights Ranch is. When we were there in February, the grounds were a stunning winter wonderland. There was a lovely snowshoe trail to experience the beauty of several feet of impacted snow and the most gorgeous frozen trees, The lobby is a beautiful and warm refuge from the cold where we enjoyed hot chocolate in the afternoons. The restaurant deserves its own review. The food was phenomenal! They have an incredible menu of gourmet, locally-sourced food each evening. I'm a vegetarian and the food not only fit my diet but was creative and delicious! I felt like I discovered a new favorite each night! The celeriac soup was amazing! There was a delicious risotto, portobello mushroom "steak," and plenty of other tasty dishes. My husband raved about the steak, reindeer, and arctic char dishes. He sampled my dishes as well and raved about them too! The ambiance of the restaurant is so cozy. We loved sitting by the window watching the reindeer each night, with the fireplace crackling across the room and the lovely chill music. It was so relaxing! The service was excellent as well. The wait staff were so friendly and helpful. They checked in to make sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. The staff throughout the rest of the Ranch was fantastic as well. From our first postponement, they were so communicative via email. They booked airport transfers for us and made our trip so easy and smooth. Our plane was a bit late so I emailed the hotel to let them know and received a swift response, even pushing our dinner reservation for us. We had a quick check-in and the staff was happy to help with printing some documents for our travel and helping us book an Aurora Chase. Our stay at Northern Lights Ranch is one of my favorite memories and we definitely plan to return. I can't recommend this place more highly. It's definitely a must-see!

The ranch is a small hotel... under 20 rooms, but all of them are in individual cabins and are well appointed with everything you need. Two sides are fully glass as is the ceiling above the bed.... so not great on privacy but terrific for the Northern Lights which showed up a couple of nights. We LOVED this hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful and sought us out when of our experiences was cancelled. They made some other suggestions. The food is a set menu and excellent. We didn't have a bad meal in 4 days. And watching the baby reindeer outside the restaurant windows was great fun ... as was feeding them. We had room 10, which was nicely away from the main hotel area but not so far that you had a long walk for dinner. This cabin also has a hot tub which was lovely after a day out in the cold. We highly recommend this hotel if you want peace and quiet, with the opportunity to do lots of activities and a lovely environment to enjoy. We'd definitely stay again!

This is by far one of the best ‘hotels’ I have ever stayed in. We have seen the Northern Lights Ranch on social media and decided to make it part of our honeymoon. Great decision. The ranch is a fair distance away from anywhere, which you’d expect, so I would recommend you hire a car. It is about a 20 minute drive away from a lovely ski town, Levi. Upon arrival, the lady who checked us in was incredible polite and helpful. She advised us on a few trips/tours which she recommend. When we got to our cabin, it really was a ‘wow’ moment. It was perfectly sized for 2 people and the glass surrounding our ‘sleeping area’ was incredible. The rooms were clean and we had plenty of cutlery, with a microwave. The bathroom was spot on also with a good, powerful shower. We had a hot tub with our cabin, which I would highly recommend. There is something special about relaxing in a hot tub whilst it is -20 degrees Celsius. The ranch provided snow shoes for us to go on a walk and there was also a fire pit and ice rink, which gave us something to do in the evening. The restaurant had a set menu and the food was amazing. I’m so glad they did have a set menu, as what was on it was not something I’d usually go for but it tasted fantastic. We stayed for 3 nights which we felt was perfect. It was so chilled and exactly what we wanted from the place. We were able to go into Levi during the day and did a couple of trips and then come back to the tranquil cabin. We were very lucky that we saw the northern lights 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed there. It was an unforgettable experience and topped off an unreal stay! We will definitely be back!

A simply stunning and magical venue. The ice chapel which is rebuilt every year is just spectacular. We would like to thank everyone working at the ranch who made our special day so perfect, our meal was gorgeous and all needs (children) well catered for. Our cabin with hot tub was amazing, especially as we were lucky enough to see the northern lights 😆 we also loved the extra free activities provided - the ice skates to skate on the frozen pond, the fire to cook your sausages (if you wanted), the snow shoes and of course a favourite with the children, feeding the reindeer. We can not thank you enough and will 100% return for a future anniversary.

1. The Northern Lights Ranch is a very secluded, isolated, purpose-built boutique set of cabins that reconnect you with nature. 2. The cabins have most walls and ceilings made of glass so that there is maximum visibility to the sky and nature in case the Northern Lights show up. 3. The cabins are quite minimal, there is a bed - please note that the bed can be adjusted so you can be in a sitting position (like a hospital bed). 4. In the cabin there is a microwave oven, hot water pot for tea, associated dinnerware and two wooden chairs and a small table. There are no really comfortable chairs, so one must put the bed in the upright position if you'd like to sit and read. 5. In addition, the cottage has a small shower, sink, and small room that doesn't have windows for walls. It's useful to put your luggage in because there isn't much other space. There is a couch there in the small room and a TV. 6.We rented a cabin with a hot tub which is attached to the cabin, of course you have to go outside to get into it. It was wonderful on a cold evening. 7. There is LITTLE to do on this ranch itself. They provide free-to-use snow shoes and poles and have a trail. Remember the sun goes down by 2pm in the winter, so they also provide a head lamp which is useful. 8. There is a small ice skating rink and free use of ice skates on the property as well as an igloo made of snow which is used for weddings. 9. The meals were gourmet and were quite welcome because it would have been a long, cold drive should we wanted to go somewhere else. The breakfast buffet was great. 10. You can see 4 reindeer from the dining room, and there are feeding times. Children seem to like them. 11. Service was fine and checkin was easy. I'd say this hotel works as advertised and is fit for purpose (of connecting with nature and seeing the northern lights). My recommendation: I'd stay only one night here, 24 hours is enough in the winter because it's quite cold, there isn't a lot to do and it's quite dark. I'd certainly come again, but I would not stay longer than 24 hours. People who LOVE being secluded, not seeing other people, want to commune with nature or are 100% Finnish may want to stay longer. But for other more social humanoids, I'd recommend 24 hours as just enough time. Book the rest of your time in the village of Levi that has shops, rooms with glass ceilings, etc. so that you have a chance to see the Northern Lights (however it's quite light in Levi and I think they'd be harder to see there) and also take a stroll and see other humans.

We stayed in the Northern Lights Ranch in the beginning of December. The cabin is perfect Scandinavian comfort and the white landscape was simply breathtaking. Temperatures dropped to -30 C and using the outside hot tub with these temperatures outside was an amazing relaxing experience. The staff was always helpful and nice and we always felt welcome.

The place is middle of nowhere (which is perfect) and the cabins are really beautiful. The end of the trip in total silence was everything we needed. The beds were soooo comfy! The staff was friendly and everything concerning pandemic situation were properly taken care of. The breakfast (vegan option) was amazingly good so thanks to the chef! The snow shoe trail and iceskating rink might be really good for someone who hasn’t visited Finland/Lapland before and wants to experience those in easy way. Perfect place if you want to relax and see northern lights!

We came from Australia and wanted a full snow experience, we looked at a lot of the igloo type accommodation but it was small, close together with not a lot of privacy and some didn’t have a shower. The Northern Lights Ranch was perfect, the setting is stunning, we had the “cheapest” cabin but still very private and the view so stunning and amazing it’s almost hard to believe even when you are looking at it. The cabins had a private sitting area and bathroom. This was what we were looking for, it cost a lot but was worth every cent. My daughter started to cry when we walked into our cabin, it was that good. This was the highlight of nearly a month travelling through Scandinavia and Finland.
