My boyfriend and I rode up with another couple for the weekend. The Fireside Inn is just a few minutes from the town center. It's a tranquil, lovely place with roomy cabin-like rooms. We stayed in the Acorn suite, which had a small living area, kitchenette, fireplace and separate bedroom with a king bed. Pam, the owner was super nice...

We stayed at the Meadowlark lodge over Memorial day weekend, and had a wonderful time! The cabin was very close to town (less than a 4 minute drive), and although it is right by the highway, it felt like we were very secluded in the woods. We had 4 adults, and 3 children staying, and each couple had a large...

We stayed in the "raccoon's retreat" room, though all the other ones looked very cute. The fireplace was large and a lovely addition, big comfortable bed, nice clean bathroom, full kitchenette. The room was larger than the pictures looked, and perfectly large enough for a long weekend ("buy two nights, get the third free" deal!) It was very close (very...

Fireside Inn has two locations: One on North Circle Drive, and the other off of Highway 243. So, you need to decide which is your preference. Do you want to have the convenience of being within walking distance to the charming shops and restaurants of the Idyllwild, or would you prefer to have a bit more privacy? If you opt...

A Gem of a deal! We stayed in the cabin named "Racoon's Retreat". It was very cute and well appointed. It has a kichenette which consists of a stove top, sink, microwave and small fridge. Perfect for making a meal or two if you don't feel like going out to one of the many great restaurants on the Hill. In...

Squirrels Nest was the perfect spot for me. I've stayed at Fireside Inn before and this little cabin is now my favorite. It's got all the amenities I need, microwave, refrig, good closet space and a no frills but certainly adequate bathroom and a very comfortable bed plus cute FIREPLACE. The Fireside is within easy walking distance of town, shopping,...

THE ONLY REASON I SAID 2ND BEST is i believe you always have to leave room at the top for your next experience!!!! I booked this Cabin just after spending the weekend at the Blue Bird lodge fire sides sister in the mountains. It's not very often you trade tradition for something new we did and my oh my what...

I always thought I would write a review for Fireside Inn, but never had done so until now. In 2013 we spent three days and two nights at the Fireside Inn; once in the winter and once in the summer. Both times were a wonderful experience with the Inn itself, with the contrast in weather, and with town of Idyllwild....

We stayed in the Blue Jay and it was perfect - cozy cabin with a mini fridge, and a good selection of DVDs in the office in case you need to unwind. Short drive to great hiking. Walking distance with decent road shoulders to restaurants on both ends of town, across from church.

Lark is a nice, one-bedroom, duplex cabin right off of Highway 243. It has an eat-in kitchen with living room and two beds in the bedroom. I stayed there for six days, including the 4th of July, and enjoyed my visit. I would stay again. The Fireside Inn cabins are close to the Idyllwild School for the Arts, which is...
