This place had holes in the floor going all the way through to outside which let in huge spiders. The heating didn't work so they provided space heaters that where not safe for small children(we had a toddler) and half of them were broken as...More
Great Location - mountain top, edge of the canyon, mountain stream in the backyard canyon. Great view. Very cozy and homely. Nice all wooden interior. Microwave oven, refrigerator in room. Great rate. Super good owner and family. Car park right in front of your room....More
My wife and I went up for an overnight getaway. I went by reviews that I saw on the web and the price was right. The rooms really did seem like you were in a cabin. The rear deck (room 6) had an awesome view....More

Overall, it was a wonderful weekend full of hiking, exploring little shops, and chilling in a cute romantic room.
I typically don't mind a little rustic charm, but the shower was just too far gone for me to ignore. Paint was peeling off in places,...More

First of all, I do not recommend this hotel... There are others in the area for the same price, or even lower, that are WAY better maintained and managed and you will thank me later. See my review of Strawberry Creek Bunkhouse and Stone Creek Lodge, which I highly recommend.
That being said, the kitchenette is basically as follows: a sink, microwave, mini fridge, coffee machine, electric tea kettle, glasses, mugs, silverware, some plates and bowls. If you ask, they have pots and pans and a hot plate available at the front desk. I would not recommend any serious cooking here (maybe reheating last nights leftovers would be totally feasible:). If you are looking for a place to cook, I would again recommend the Stone Creek Lodge, they have a communal fully equipped dream kitchen!! Seriously, I am a chef, and this kitchen was gorgeous!!!
Have fun, Idyllwild is a blast, but choose your stay at your own risk:)

"We stayed in room 6. I heard the owner say from 6 and up were the best for a view."
