Modern rooms with minimalist Scandinavian designs and extremely comfortable beds. Loved the in-room amenities of pour-over filter coffee and record players (with a lending library of records in the lobby). Ocean View rooms have sweeping views of the Pacific and the cliffs below. Loved the outdoor areas with fire pits, ping pong, pool, and foosball, plus the bar and lounge...

New owners are making a huge improvement to Timber Cove. We recently went in for a meal at Timber Cove and were very pleased with our meals. In fact we ended up having 4 meals before our week stay in Gualala was over. First, the breakfast, the frittata was cooked a la minute, the vegetables were fresh and colorful and...

Wow!! I don't have the words. This place is amazing and secluded. The restaurant has a fantastic view, a culinary delight and perfect for that special someone. The bar is in the lobby with a huge beautiful fireplace, and the surrounding grounds and trail around the property is breathtaking. Plenty of places to just sit and take it all in....

Have stayed at Timber Cove 3 consecutive years...once had a welcoming feel, that has now been replaced with pretentious, Euro spa atmosphere. Possibly going for a chef based foodie experience- we were lost on the $400 New Years Eve pre defined menu. Poor marketing and communication. Thank you Boon in Guerneville for taking care of us!!!!

Nice place but without much to do and all the heaters outside all off was tough to do much. The menu really lacks of basic selections. Not everyone can eat seafood and even what was listed didn't resemble any high end restaurant we've been to. Where's a real lounge menu ? Where's a steak and lobster platter ? Where's crab...

What a fantastic place to stay the newly refurbished resort is a laid back treat. Service was always friendly and discreet so nice to be looked after by people who care and have a smile on their face. We had an ocean view room and oh boy what a view being able to wake up to the sight and sound...

I've been making the trip out to the Timber Cove for better than 15 years and always found its old beachcomber charm in perfect sync with the central coast ambiance: cozy, romantic, fun...a little quirky (especially with its distinctive totem). Having just returned from experiencing the (as they prefer saying) 'restored' Timber Cove, the effort has not been misplaced. While...

It was a spur-of-the-moment weekend trip from SF and stormy weather made us second guess our intentions, but we are glad we went. Our first day was dark and gray but even still the views were spectacular and the sunset beautiful. The next day the sky cleared and we saw the same scene in full color. Unforgettable. Be sure to...

This is a very nice hotel in an out-of-this-world location. Many of the rooms have been recently refurbished and the work continues (though it is hardly noticeable to those staying there.) The dining area has also been updated and is very nice. The rooms are a bit small, but nicely furnished. Most have thermostatically controlled fireplaces. The bathrooms are beautiful...

This lovely little lodge is nestled along the California coastline. It has been recently remodeled & reflects a quirky yet chic charm. Upon reception, we were greeted by two lovely ladies that gave us a lot of information about the hotel & surrounding areas. Definitely request an ocean view room, it's worth the up charge. Our bed, which has to...
