We went to River's End and stayed in Cypress Room 5 on a Thursday night. The restaurant is closed Wednesday and Thursday which was perfect. It was so quiet and serene. We called Wednesday as we were just hanging out at Tasting By the Sea. We talked to Gabriel who said we could check in early and exactly where to park. He was there to greet us when we arrived. He also let us use their landline the next day to make reservations at Fort Ross Winery. This is certainly our 'new' favorite place to stay on the coast. The service, room, setting and price are unmatched. We already have reservations for October.
Jenner is a a quiet community where the Russian River meets the Pacific Ocean. Our return visit was all we hoped for, peaceful, beautiful scenery, and comfortable lodging. The staff was helpful and very friendly, making every effort to assure a pleasant stay. I really recommend a two day stay so you can take advantage of the beauty of nature and the opportunity to explore the coastline. We ate at the restautant one night. The food was delicious with lovely presentation.
Only stayed for one night but the room was ready with the fireplace providing the heat to take the chill out of the air. What a warm welcome, due to Covid there was a contactless arrival and departure plan in place, but we didn't miss a thing, the room had a nice balcony to look out over the mouth of the Russian River, perfectly peaceful.
So far we have stayed here twice in two different cabins and loved both trips. The cabins are really cute with a lot of amenities we weren't expecting. There is a giant fluffy blanket big enough for two to cuddle up with on the deck when watching the sunset. There is folding table inside that you can chose to use out on the deck or leave in the closet. They provide beach chairs, a champagne chilling bucket and stand along with a nice little mini fridge and an assortment of coffees and teas for the mini coffee pot. Perfect for two. The bed felt luxurious, and there were ample pillows, beddings and towels. For an "unplugged" experience it was incredibly well stocked room. In cabin room 5 the shower had a giant window that overlooked the wind swept trees that was a nice surprise! The views are unbeatable foggy or sunny. We were lucky enough to have been able to make a reservation in the restaurant as well. We had read all the reviews and scoured the menu ahead of time so we had an idea of what would be in store but we had definitely underestimated the dining experience itself. Well versed staff on the menu items, the food service was perfectly timed giving us the opportunity to enjoy our courses but with little to almost no wait time in between. A beautiful dining room and bar with stunning views for sure but the food was the star of the show. Amazing!! We are foodies and have probably had a million oysters lol but their mignonette had a unexpected surprise that we are going to incorporate at home! The elk was perfectly cooked and the duck confit rich and creamy but with some nice tooth as well. We are literally already planning our next trip here!!…
My stay at River’s End was wonderful. Great views, walks on the shore, lots of beautiful hiking nearby, and super hospitality. The bed was very comfortable. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent. I hope to return.
