The Castle House was such a wonderful place to experience. Definitely one of my husbands and I favorite stops through out our road trip. We booked one of the yurts and enjoyed every part of it. We received instructions early on so we where well informed on what to expect when we arrived. The communication was beyond exceptional, Ryan was always responsive from the minute we arrived to the moment we left Ryan provided the best hospitality we could of hoped for. Besides the out door sauna, pool, beautiful scenery and gorgeous skies; Castle House Estate also offers food, snacks, and drinks. I definitely loved that they offer to rent heaters for the yurt and wood for the fire pit, helped from having to over pack or go out far away to buy anything. We had an amazing time and will definitely go back soon! We hope to try one of the towers next :)

I have stayed at The Castle House Estate twice now and there are not enough good things I can say about this place and the hosts! Would highly recommend this place to others! The first time I stayed we camped at one of the camp spots and this last time we stayed in the Container Home. The Container Home was amazing! Had it’s own bathroom, shower, and mini fridge. I would definitely stay here again!

I came here with my 3 cousins for my 30th birthday. The location is great. you feel secluded but only 7 minutes from town. Our yurt was incredibly clean for being in an area with such fine dirt every where. They politely ask you to remove your shoes before entering to help keep the area clean as well which I really appreciated. The two owners are wonderful. You can tell this space is their baby. They are constantly around to make sure everything is comfortable for their guests. I really appreciated that. There is a little bit of construction going on at the moment, but it is not noisy in the slightest and its only to make the site even better than what it is. Im excited to come again in the future to see how it has come along. They are building a skating rink on the site in the ballroom. It so far has a chic vibe to it. Im a skater myself and really found this to be a great and unique idea. The only thing I would like to see added is a door for the shower area. Im sure the door is not there because the are is meant mostly to rinse off before getting in the pool so I think you are expected to wear a swim suit, but I think it would still be nice to have a door maybe haha. But yeah, loved the place, loved the owners and would love to come again!

Such a cool experience! One of the nights we stayed in the Guard tower—such a fun concept! We enjoyed hanging out and watching the sunset from the rooftop, then stargazing on the lounge chairs. We ordered room service (pizza and fresh baked cookies) which Ryan delivered himself. So nice! We stayed in the Jupe tent another night. We love camping, and having the luxury of a nice bed inside a large tent you can stand up in with electricity made it glamping :) Both places were also welcoming to our two pups. We will definitely return next time we are in Joshua Tree!

We were out RVing and decided that for 1 night we would get out of the cramped RV into a yurt that looked nice in the pictures. Boy were we wrong. The host who other people have reviewed to be helpful said I will come see you and never did. That is not the worst of it. One can get busy/have other priorities. Maybe he is nice normally. The property is not as advertised. Here are things to watch out for. 1. Only 1 restroom (a nicer version of portapotty in a trailer.) which was not cleaned. 2. Construction noise - There was a fellow building a deck during the day so lots of sawing hammering. 3. The Yurt was saturated in the smell of insense, Not sure if other units had the same problem but the one we were given (number 4) was that way. We tried texting/emailing ryan once we realized that the smell would not reduce with keeping the door/windows(flaps) open. The smell was so intense that I started sneezing and the kids couldn't sleep. We ended up moving back into the RV at 10:30 so we could get some sleep. 4. The shower like others have mentioned does not have a door and there is a big RV bus parked with a good view of the shower. Who is to say there are no cameras pointed at the shower through the darkened windows? In the end we ended up almost not using anything this place had and paying a hefty amount for it. ($299+99 cleaning fee) + tax. The host finally replied to us a few days later angrily. I guess no need to be nice after you already got our money.
