My wife and I stayed here with my 4 year old for one night. It is really a pretty amazing location. Downside is that we went in September and it was hot. There isn't air conditioning, so it wasn't quite the perfect temperature, but that's the only negative. They do have an outdoor tub you can fill to cool down. The night sky is beautiful and there is a nice space to sit out and enjoy it. We did hear coyotes howling for a few minutes. Honestly, I'd have liked to hear a little more of them. Convenient to Joshua Tree National Park. Daughter loved having her own "cave" to sleep and made it her Bat Cave in playing superheroes. Booked on AirBnB.

Yay!! So good to here your family enjoyed your stay...even in the heat. Phew! We just installed a new vented gable on the Bath House and love it! There are plans to reconstruct the venting on the tops of the Sleep Pods to same way. Thank you for your review and thanks for staying at Bonita Domes!

Just got back from LA trip and Joshua Tree visit was definitely the highlight. I lucked in to a Bonita Pods web page and was struck by the incredible and weird looking domes. My girlfriend and I were going to camp, but this seemed like a way more unique experience. We were right. It was magic. The domes are so perfectly integrated in to the setting, that it feels like you are sleeping in a beautiful cave. The kitchen and dining area are compact and efficient, and super comfortable and clean. The fire pit is heaven and we spent a great evening watching the sky go from blue to pink to an inky black, dotted with millions of stars... We met another couple from LA who live down the street from my girlfriend, and we invited them to join us for dinner and bonfire. Great company and fast friends. Wine, roasted marshmellows and good conversation added to the magic of the domes. The outhouse was nicer than many hotel washrooms I have seen, and the shower house was quaint and fun, with 2 showers side by side. I had the best sleep of my trip and woke up to cool a big breakfast that furled us for a wicked hike in the park. Bring all the food and condiments and then over pack, as you will make hungry friends. Also, you may want to bring any special utensils for cooking as they stock only basics. Bring bowls as well...

Beautiful experiences to be had at Bonita Domes. I was incredibly impressed. The fire pit is a particular favorite. Each pod is unique and just has a serene, good feel to it. The open pad in front is spacious and clean. Many good times to be had and I cannot wait to return!
