We had a lovely suite with a fireplace and bacony, which provided us a fabulous view. The four poster bed was very comfortable, but our suite had some flaws: no heat in the bathroom, and no comfortable chairs to sit in. There was only one small wicker patio chair. The bathroom had no door, and a small but annoying problem-...

We killed more than twelve "carpet beetles" (dermestid beetles) in our room. These beetles will eat any organic material. They eat holes in cotton clothing and if they get into any of your gear (for example). They will eat holes into anything not plastic or metal in your house or apartment when you return home. When we got back home,...

We were in the main building, the Harmony Room, which had 2 queen sized beds that were extremely comfortable and had wonderful bedding. It was clean (except for the leftovers still in the fridge from another guest). I liked that the windows opened, but on the other hand, the one open casement window had a broken handle, so it could...

We had such a fantastic weekend getaway at the lodge. The location is beautiful and far enough from town to feel serene and out of the city lights but close enough to have access to shopping and restaurants. The view from the room was beautiful. The staff was friendly and super helpful. The room was clean, quiet and decorated so...

Let me start off by saying This place is beautiful. I wont go into all the dirty details but this place is trying to be run by a 1 man show who is completely in over his head. The owner needs to visit the property and do a lot of changes, and by changes I mean fire the guy that...

We just returned from a two day, one night visit to Julian (much too short). Very pleased with our accommodations - spacious rooms, great fire place, deck with a view. Our host William was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. The location and property were very well situated for us and we particularly enjoyed the stars and night and the wildlife we...

i took my wife here for her birthday. Was just a one night getaway. Loved the location and the lodge itself was absolutely beautiful. I read the other reviews that complained about the rooms being dirty...we did not experience this and felt the room, bed, and bathroom was clean. A few things that need some attention - The host said...

We will be sure that the guests are given the wifi password and that check out is explained, as well as the amenities pointed out...

Room was supposed to have carpet, sofa bed, fireplace, clean bedding, private entrance. All listed in my confirmation. None of these were in the room we were given. After a few minutes with the "on site" custodian, never saw him again. DO NOT STAY HERE! It was disgusting.

Hi there, some rooms have carpeting installed, some have hardwood floors. The premium upgraded rooms do have separate entrances and couches, but unfortunately that is not the room that you booked. As far as the stain that you state you found on your bedding, we would have gladly switched out your bedding if you had notified our on site inn...

A very cozy and 'homey' place to stay about 2 miles from town. Gorgeous view from the front porch and deck. Can be a little loud due to the common space and thin doors/walls (as parents we are used to it). Would stay here again for sure. The groundskeeper was very nice, helpful and polite.

Not what is claims to be. Poorly run. A house claiming to be a Lodge. It's not. A Bed and Breakfast that doesn't have breakfast. No one was even present to check us in. They called us on the phone. Our tiny freezing room did have any towels and it wasn't ready at check in. We stayed 90 minutes and...
