Our cabin at Big Rock Resort was just the right blend of rustic, charming and comfortable. We were 5 plus a Golden Retiever in a two bedroom cabin. It was easy to find - the turn off into the private road just before town. It was easy to cook - the kitchen was equipped with simple, useful tools. It was... More

We had a nice time at Big Rock Resort. We stayed in the three bedroom house. It is facing the lake and the closest cabin to the lake. The house comes with a boat and the guys went out fishing every day. The cabin has most all you would need. They do need to add some pot holders. Everything else... More

We rented a kayak for two persons, the service was very good, cheap prices ($21 for the first hour, $6 for every following hour), and the lake is gorgeous -- even though it was August there were not many people at the lake (in the morning).

We really enjoyed our very comfortable 2 day stay at Big Rock Resort this October. We usually camp when visiting June Lake, but were just passing through and did not want to deal with all the gear. Cabin #4 had a nice partial view of the lake and updated interior. The cabin was completely clean, very solid and the kitchen... More

although we are seasoned veterans I've have made it our family time here for years. Big Rock Resort host/owners have made it a special place for me and my Family with Tahoe around the corner. with Cabins that are comfortable and clean (small flat screen TV must be my eyes) and we like the decks, great to socialize and meet... My two teenagers had a blast here thanks to the kayak rentals. Very reasonable and makes the trip extra special. June Lake is spectacularly post-card gorgeous. VERY cold water of course, but crystal clear. The whole trip was memorable. Route 395 heading north from Ridgecrest, through Lone Pine, Independence, Bishop, Mammoth Lakes and on to June Lake is one of... More

Big Rock Resort was wonderful. Very nice cabin with all of the amenities. Fireplace kept the cabin warm even though it was well below zero at night. The owners were great. Other than that, I am not sure why this review has to be 200 characters minimum.

We just returned from our second vacation at Big Rock and have already booked our third! It is one of the most beautiful and tranquil places on earth. The property is right on the lake with enough grassy area for kids to play. The cabins are cozy and "rustic". We have found the owners warm, friendly, and extremely accommodating. We... More

The place is lovely, we came for the last 4 years and enjoyed the lake. The husband and wife team owners are usually OK but this last time we had a run in with the wife who should not be dealing with customers or live where she might come across a customer. She is rude and makes us uncomfortable. I... More
