We have stayed at Coolabah on all my visits to Sihanoukville over the past 6 years...I visit once or twice a year...I can't help but notice all the negative reviews lately...I think it would be helpful if there was some updated info regarding the hotel...It has changed owners and management several times over the past couple of years..but their overview...

My friend and I have just returned from a great trip to Sihanoukville and Coolabah Hotel. We found the hotel and room to be clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful and the location in the heart of town could not be beaten. There was a wonderful view overlooking the sea from our balcony and...

There's better for cheaper. $55 USD a night overpriced. But overall OK. Mouldy smelling room. No TV for first 2 days. Hot water fix, air con fix. TV remote fix. Overall OK. Average place. OK location. Will not go back...

Nothing to say but happy to have been here for one night only! Poor housekeeping and not clean at all. Fond couple of cockroaches this morning happily walking in the room floor, water? Leaking from toilet ceiling ....

I stayed here for a couple of nights this week. It didn't start brilliantly when the rooms I'd emailed about were apparently full (though the hotel was virtually empty) and I had to show the booking.com price before they'd stop trying to sell me an expensive room. I paid more here without breakfast than I'd paid for a lovely hotel...

Maybe other rooms are nice but the family room is absolutely not worth $97 a night. Bathroom door was broken, mouldy smell (not rainy season), dated tacky decor, and the window was against a brick wall so the room was super dark.

If you can not speak Khmer do not worry. You will not be able to understand the staff when they speak about you as if you are an animal. My wife does speak Khmer and we had to move out. The place has had better days and numerous managers. A bit ratty now. We went to a much better part...

We've stayed at the Coolabah 3 times now, and it is still the best place to stay in the beach area of Sihanoukville. A great location, just a couple of hundred metres walk to the beach - either down along Serendipity Beach Road, or along Ochheuteal Street, and just a step around the corner from dozens of great bars and...

I stayed here for 3 nights with a couple of friends, we were all in standard double rooms. After a long drive in from Phnom Penh we found the front desk staff to be polite and friendly. The check-in process was quick. The location is close to the beach, but just off the main road where all the noisy bars...
