This hotel is great if u have rented a car. We went during the Autumn season and this was the only decent hotel with rooms still available. But turned out to be great! Onsen was good as well... Went to that everyday. The hotel has many car park spaces so don't worry about parking and it's free!

We were a group of 2 adults and 2 kids going for first time skiing. The cottage had 2 bedrooms, 1 toilet, 1 bathroom, a small living room and 2 basins. The size was good. The heating was too strong and dehydrating, so I had to get up every 3 hours at night just to change the wet towel on... More

Stayed as a family of 4 in a twin room which had 2 double beds and 2 sofa beds. Room was small as was the bathroom but average by Japanese standards. Conveniently located as it was a short ride from the train station and there are 2 shuttle buses which make a loop between the outlets and the other Prince... More

It was the warmest winter to date when we got to Karuizawa. Prince Hotel East Was snowmaking and great beginner slopes for 1st skiers. Hotel and service was great. The twin room size was fairly decent for Japan. The hotsprings were one of the best I tried in the Nagano prefecture. And Kenji-San from the bar - great service. Good... More

Great location if you want to shop at Karuizawa outlet or ski. Not recommended if you like quite place as this place is packed with peoples. Some staffs can speak little english while almost all staffs can't communicate that well in english. I booked for twin room and the room is spacious with living area, however bathroom is small. This time we booked ourselves a cottage and it was excellent. The cottage we had was just next to the ski slope and you can sit back in the living room and watch the ski activities going on outside. The cottage was cosy and nice, the wooden floors had heaters which provided warmth as you walk around in the cottage,... More

Just went there over Xmas 2015 to take my five-year old son to learn to ski. The room was nicely located on the first floor, and everything was very convenient for a first ski trip. No natural snow (Dec 2015) and all man-made snow, but my kid learned just fine. Three ski schools for kids to choose from, and better... More

Great location - within walking distance to the station and the outlet mall. I believe you can stay at the hotel or rent out cabins - we stayed at the main hotel. On the pricier side, but the hotel is offers great service / good food / good onsen.

It would be more magical if there was snow. The cabin was decent but beds and bedding cover was a tad old fashion. One good thing was the floor was heated which was excellent during winter. The price we paid did not come with breakfast so we paid additional 2100++ per pax for the buffet breakfast. The spread was quite... More

We traveled from Tokyo for a short two night stay for both business and pleasure in the area. Did not have much time for exploring the area but my wife visited the shopping area (mall) nearby and found the shopping experience very nice. I had business in the area so all I can comment on was the main lodge, cabin... More
