Strategic located among the attractions, it is within walking distance to the hell valley. They've two onsen baths and private onsen as well if you want to have some privacy. Wide range of breakfast buffet spread from Japanese to western.

I paid Yen28,380 for one night with only breakfast no dinner, check out time at 10am although I checked in late night, no free shuttle to JR, seems nothing extra that value for money. I have tried the onsen, both indoor and outdoor pool, generally good, large and well organized/maintained to accommodate the large crowds. Better go early in the...

The Grand Hotel immediately lives up to its name when you enter the hugely grand lobby. I booked kind of late, so there were only smoking rooms left, but the room did not smell at all. We had a traditional Japanese-style room. It was very spacious with multiple places to read and relax. The dinner was buffet-style (I think the...

Noboribetsu Grand Hotel is indeed a nice onsen hotel. A Japanese style hotel (that means check in at 3 pm and check out 10 am) and room rate usually includes breakfast. The breakfast is good with sufficient choice. Room was clean and of good size. It is centrally located in this quiet onsen town, very near the bus station, The...

We come a long way to Japan to experience its famous hospitality. Sadly we could not find it in this hotel... At check-in, staff could speak English well but could only be described as frosty. I admire the Japanese people's subtle elegance very much but sorry the service here was sub-zero. Needless to say, no porter service. We were given...

Having stayed at more expensive onsen ryokan before, we didn't have over the top expectation when we booked here. But I have to say that the stay exceeded our expectation! Around this onsen area, there may be a little hard to find non-smoking room for a family with small children and this is one of a great choice. First, the...

The hotel is along one of the bus stops from train station, and bus station is cross the street, there will be Shinkansen next to the hotel soon, quite convenient location. It looked very plain from outside, just like a giant hotel building, room we had actually was Japanese style, spacious, with sitting area, full bath, there were hot water...

Tip top ryokan in one of the greatest onsen town in Japan. Spacious Japanese-styled room. Welcoming service by the staff. dip yourself into their outdoor onsen pool in the cold morning certainly is a blissful experience.

After a long day traveling, large onsen and great buffet really hit the spot. Good mix of traditional delicacies and western favorites. Right across from bus station, so very convenient. Large hotel, lots of rooms, but still felt enjoyably local.

If you are looking for a place to go and relax with onsen (hot spring tubs) and variety of choices for food, stay here. We chose to have the meals at the hotel for both breakfast and dinner. Not regrettable at all. You get a little bit of everything in a buffet style and the quality is quite decent. People...
