F&E Couple trip. Reached by train & bus from Sapporo. Need to cross the road & climb a very short slope to hotel lobby. Check-in at 3pm. But can leave luggage at front desk. Ask for a Non-smoking room & was given a room(Western) at the Annex building with the same level of the lobby ceiling sharing with many rooms,... More

2nd time staying at this hotel. As usual, it maintained its high standards of customer service. The first room I checked into had an unpleasant sewage smell. I called the front desk and soon, they sent someone to check and I was grateful that they changed a room for me. Beds and pillows were a little too soft for my... More

The rooms are so-so with most of the emphasis on the public baths and the very generous buffet. Have your pick of iron, sulphur, salt, or something in-between in very hot well kept onsen. The buffet is very well-organized and the food is fresh or made to order. A 2 day stay is adequate.

Our family of five stayed in the tatami styled family room for 2 nights. Although it is an old hotel, the service was impleccable. Buffet spread was good too. The hotel was walking distance to Hell Valley and Bear Park. We will come back here again.

We have been upgraded to a suite room. The room had a separate lounge and bedroom. The bathroom and toilet is also separate. The room is quite spacious, clean, luxurious and comfortable. The onsen facility included both indoor and outdoor options. It has different pools including sulphur, salt, iron and normal pools. It has excellent view of the mountain range.... More

Everything is good! The price is very reasonable. Near the bus stop, 1-2mins arrived. Nearby the tourist area The traditional Japanese style room is nice, clean and comfortable. The food is good and many choices, but no free soft drinks available in buffet. The hot spring is nice. Overall this hotel is highly recommended for you.

Likes The hotel location is great, right next to Main Bus Terminal and Shopping Street. Outdoor onsen is nice Clean, decent sized room Areas for improvement Check in is super late at 3pm onwards. With super early check out at 10am! With a 3pm check-in ( late by global standard -usually is noon, with certain places 2pm) it's only fair... More

Traveling from Sapporo to Noboribetsu and stayed at Noboribetsu Grand Hotel for 2 nights. Our first try on onsen ... Fantastic and relaxing treat. The outdoor onsen is superb. As for the room, we stayed in the Japanese style room. Is considered a little small for a family of four but great experience. The hell valley is a walk-able distance... More

Surprised to see so many negative reviews, I really enjoyed the Noboribetsu Grand Hotel. Great, great food for breakfast and dinner. Comfortable rooms - modern and with onsen inside. Comfortable bed, two TV's... friendly staff. Awesome.

We stayed here two nights because we came in late the first night via train. Beware that if you go when it is dark, it is hard to see and understand where to go once you get to the Noboribetsu station. There is a local shuttle bus that picks you up at the station and drops you off at the... More
