Have stayed here multiple times. Rooms are spacious, clean, walking distance to lifts, wood burning fire places, hot tub, comfy lobby, ski lockers, indoor parking, rooms with balconies. My favorite place to stay when I'm at Kirkwood. If they figured out to get an outdoor hottub on the meadow side this place would be even better.

For a family of four - a studio worked just fine for us. These are nothing fancy. Basic - a little dated -but functional. The room we rented had bunk beds that were comfortable enough - but it didn't have protective guard rail on top to prevent a kid from falling off. We have young children - so they inevitably... Meadows is a very reasonably priced condo in the heart of Kirkwood, with easy access to either of the two base lodges/lifts. They have elevators to make it easy to bring your gear into the units from the covered garage, a hot tub, fireplaces and common areas and the office staff at the lodge were fantastic. They helped me get... More

I don't understand the negative reviews of the Meadows. It is not new, no marble tubs but it's clean, functional and the service at Kirkwood has always been great. Nice Jacuzzi here. We have been coming here for almost 20 years staying in many of these privately owned units and sometimes in the hotel. Everything has worked (except once a... More

I paid for a room at the 'kirkwood resort', depicted in the photos on hotels.com and located adjacent to the ski lifts. Instead of staying in the lodge, I was placed in 'the meadows', a completely different building a 1/2 mile away. The meadows is a low-end condo building, not a hotel. There's no staff there. My room was connected... More

Terrible logging. We've got a freezing room, window was left open at 10F. Everything is shabby and poor, its comparable to a mountain hut I've been at 15 years ago in Bulgaria, middle of nowhere; that was bit better though. Hope the mountain itself makes up for it all tomorrow :) Anyway, this place is not recommended.

Great location. Wifi, common area, hot tub. Excellent views of either the meadow or the mountains. I've stayed in many different Kirkwood condos and these no doubt are the best value. Short walk to the lifts. Can't wait to come back in the winter and take advantage of the wood burning fire place...assuming winter ever returns to Tahoe ;)

I've stayed at the Meadows on several different occasions. In the Winter you can walk about two hundred yards to the chair lift or cross country ski out the back side of the building in the meadow. Parking underground is nice when it snows and the building offers free firewood for building a fire. There's a hot tub, although it... More

I stayed during the summer months in "The Meadows" complex. My hotel room was really a spare bedroom to someone's vacation condo. The room was adequate except it lacked air condioninig and had no wi-fi as advertised. Pros: Great area, access to lots of outdoor recreation opportunities. Cons: 1) Unnessary summer resort fee. What exactly did it pay for? Even... More

Kirkwood is one of the greatest mid-size ski areas, especially for better skiers. The Meadows, however, is an older project and shows it. Peeling floor covering, laughably inadequate kitchen equipment (an oven, but no baking pan...), weak heating system, no wifi in our unit, notwithstanding the representation to the contrary (wifi was fine in the lobby)... All of which would... More
