We had an excellent vacation. Antlers was much better than the House Boat we rented on Shasta 20 years ago, because Antlers house boat didn't break down. The mechanics are good. All the guys down at the docks are friendly, helpful, knowledgable. The girls who answer the phones and make reservations are clueless. They gave incorrect and incomprehensible information. The... We rented a houseboat from Antler's in September of 2013, after Labor Day so we could avoid the crazy summer boating season. Check in time was at 4:00, but we arrived early, around two and asked them about early check-in. They told us they would call when it was ready, so we went down the road to have lunch while... More

I had never rented a houseboat before and was a little skeptical after reading the reviews here on Trip Advisor. My wife and I took 6 kids to Antlers and rented a mirage houseboat and a ski boat. Our experience with this company was excellent. We had a thorough indoctrination on handling the houseboat from Mark at Antlers. Everything went... More

This was our first time doing the "houseboat" type of vacation. We had a really good time. I suspect if you are with people you enjoy, that helps a lot too! :D Reservations: Making the reservation was easy and Antler's was good about staying in communication regarding deposits and paperwork needed, etc. so that all went smoothly. We did call... More

A group of 12 stayed in Cabin #1 during the July 4th week and we had a great time. The cabins are in the woods so you see and smell pines whenever you step outside. You have a great view of the marina and can see the boats coming and going. There's a wonderful little store/restaurant very close by. We... More

Our family of four had a fantastic Houseboat Vacation on Lake Shasta 8-15 June 2013. The Antler’s staff were professional and knowledgeable. One of the best aspects of renting a houseboat from Antler’s is their loading/unloading process. They helped us unload our supplies from our car to their shuttle pontoon boat. They parked the shuttle boat next to our houseboat... More

Stayed at a local motel recently and had a great time in the area. Attempted to rent a ski boat from Antlers for one day. Went to their office in Lakehead and allegedly spoke to their owner (SHANA ?). Even though we were in the off season it just appeared as though we were disturbing them. It was awkward and... More

This is a review of the Cabins at Antler Resort. It's all in your expectations. Mine were not set correctly and we were disappointed. If yours are set correctly, you can make the most of it. We were a family of 4 that traveled up and down the Nor Cal coast visiting Redwoods for 5 days and decided to detour... More

This is my first review ever of anything, but feel compelled to warn people of what can go wrong at Antlers.  I live in the Bay Area and my family flew all the way to the West Coast from the East Coast to go on this trip. We were told to arrive at 4pm so that we could be trained... More

We rented a "ultimate cruiser" houseboat on Shasta Lake through Antler's resort for a week. Our trip was relaxing and the resort staff were friendly and very helpful......VERY helpful. The first morning we discovered that the coffeemaker on the boat did not work, so we called in. Not much later a staff person arrived to replace our coffeepot. Luckily he... More
