My hubby and I decided to take a spontaneous trip down to Lake Shasta for the weekend and based on the great reviews on Trip Advisor we chose Shasta Lake Motel. We called two days before our arrival date and were pleasantly greeted by Jay who said they did have a couple rooms left. He couldn't have been nicer over... More

We fell upon this motel (without reservations) while traveling from Corvallis, OR to the Bay Area of San Francisco. We checked out a room for the night and couldn't have been more pleased. The room was quaint, clean, had air conditioning, a pool, and a nice restaurant down the street, overlooking Lake Shasta. The owners were friendly and responded quickly... More

This family-run motel leaves a good impression because of its friendly owners. They are so welcoming and helpful! I even left my cell phone in the room and the owner graciously retrieved it until I returned. I sure appreciated that! The rooms are what I consider classic 50's back woods with pine paneling, lampshades with bears and pine trees, and... More

Good place to stay. Had a great time with my wife here. The owners were welcoming and very nice people. They made me feel like I was visiting old relatives I hadn't seen in a while. I hope I get an excuse to stay here again.

The motel was great. The owner was so sweet and accommodating. We were driving home to California from Oregon with a trailer and we were allowed to leave the trailer in the parking lot. They also allowed us to keep our dog in the room. The room was nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The blankets were... More

Stephanie and Jay are two of the most wonderful owners I have met. My Pro Bass Fisherman boyfriend was competing in the FLW and needed a room fast. They totally hooked him up. He also had a cold and they even brought him cold medicine and tea. To make it top notch, they let us stay longer to handle some... More

You cannot beat the location right off of the freeway. We honestly just needed a place to sleep and take a shower. We brought our heeler with us, and they could not be more pet friendly. You have to go to the Camp Shasta Coffee House to eat. Butch & Lisa are amazing, with tasty food. ( just two buildings... More

Found while on road trip while having generator issues with our 55 MG could not have found a better place. Stephanie and Jay were perfect hosts. Let us borrow a trickle charger and extension cord to charge the battery, allowing day trips while we waited for a part. Wonderful cabin like rooms in a wooded setting. Full kitchen good bed...
