Stayed here for one night after having to change our Yosemite plans due to the fires in the summer. We received a warm welcome, the room was clean, spacious and quiet and there was ample free parking. Wifi worked well and good restaurant on the property. It's not fancy, but it

We drove down from Reno on our way to Yosemite. We stayed at the Lake View Lodge to give us time to drive around the June Lake Loop and get an early start to the park. Our room was large and comfortable. The only quirk was the bathroom sink, which looked like an insert placed

This was our second visit to Lakeview lodge. Both times we had rooms with 2 queens which I have been told are more spacious than a room with a queen or king. I found the room with 2 queens very comfortable, lots of space, a nice comfy chair and minifridge. Although there were no

Decent place, certainly nothing fancy. Have attempted some renovations, bathroom sinks were interesting...very high. I’m 5’1” tall and almost had to stand on my tiptoes when brushing my teeth. Very convenient location before going to Yosemite. Also very interesting lake in

Read the small print carefully, know what you're signing up for in advance. We arrived in the dark, the hotel looked nice from the outside, but after check in, we found ourselves accommodated in a shed, which had little else but a double bed and 2 night stands inside. Heating

We are sorry that you did not enjoy our bare bones cabins. Yes they are the bare minimum and desired for those who want to be camping in a tent but with a nice bed indoors instead. We do provide a detailed desception of these units before you book with all the amenities that are included and information regarding the separate shared bathrooms.

Tioga is closed typically 9 mos of the year. May be longer this year with the snowpack. There is not a convenient way for you. I think you would have to exit Yosemite and go south via Bakersfield, and then work your way East until you link up with the 395. Either that, or fly/helicopter.

Staying for 2 nights, do we have to pay for room when making reservation? What is cancellation policy?
When we stayed there last year, the cancellation policy was relatively restrictive is you have a discount rate, and they also took payment months in advance. All this was clearly stated in the booking conditions though, so fair enough.

We booked on line via a third party website for our recent US road trip, and Lake View Lodge did have one of the more restrictive policies regarding booking. They were also relatively unusual in that they took full payment well in advance. On the other hand, accommodation prices were good value so we were content to work around the restrictions.
