This was the worst. Was there before 3 for check in. No one was there to let us in. We waited until almost 3:30 no one showed up to check us in. We had to be somewhere at 4:00 PM. We had to make other accomodations and they still kept our money saying that they were there at 3:00. They lied and Travelocity said we had to prove we were there because they said we were not there. The housekeeper was trying to help us get in contact with someone. We did speak to someone and they said they would be there in twenty minutes and they never showed.
WARNING. Very dangerous for WOMEN. DO NOT STAY HERE. The manager was very unstable AND dangerous. He used a tactic to set me up so that he could refuse you service and keep your money. I walked in around 6pm to check in for a one night stay. I WAS IN TOWN ON BUSINESS. The owner came out and looked ANGRY. He abruptly said, "IF YOU ARE TRYING TO BRING THAT KID IN HERE I WILL KICK YOU OUT". Apparently he mistook ME FOR some woman who had called earlier that he had an argument with. I told him I was not that person and that I made a reservation online. He then said, "I can refuse service, and I don't like the way you look so I refuse you service. LEAVE" He GAVE NO reason and just asked me to leave" This ALL transpired in less than two minutes and HE LITERALLY ASKED ME TO LEAVE THE PROPERTY. I'm a business professional and a middle aged woman, and this guy just tried to steal my money. When I called HOTELS.COM they REFUNDED ME ALL MY MONEY BACK. I'm reporting this guy to the BBB and THE POLICE. Watch your back and your cards. He especially TARGETS WOMEN and his behavior was very dangerous. He seems like a felon.…
If I could give this a zero rating, I would. Management and staff were unhelpful and incredibly rude. Ended up checking out after the first night. Keys were returned to the desk the very next morning and I called Expedia to cancel the room. Found out that the hotel refused to refund me for the rest of the nights "because the keys weren't turned in so they didn't know". They can check the camera to see that the keys were turned in and I CALLED to cancel, which Expedia has recorded. When Expedia called to help me sort this out, the manager screamed at him over the phone. So now I'm out $1000 even though I did everything I should have. Bulls&*t.
Wasn't sure what to expect but this hotel was nice. They're lots of stores and restaurants near by. We have bad allergies and I liked that there was no carpet. The beds were comfortable and front desk staff are very friendly and helpful.
The bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean. There were occasional noises at night but nothing too disturbing. Wifi was excellent. Parking lot was mostly empty. Room also had microwave, tv and refrigerator which were convenient. Definitely recommended.
Thought I’d give this place a 2nd chance: I’m very upset with the service I got after booking this property! The hotel manager screwed me out of my money. I booked a room online and it was for the next day. I called the hotel and they refused to alter the date to the next day. He point blank told me he planned on keeping my $70 and told me if I want to stay there the following night I’d have to pay again. Then he argued with me. Very unprofessional. My 1st stay: My previous stay the parking lot had lots of rift raft looking people in the parking lot and 2 rooms had their doors open with homeless looking people hanging out in the door watching me. I felt uncomfortable leaving my car parked outside. The room didn’t have a lock on the top of the door like every other hotel I’ve ever stayed at so I was scared all night that my toddler would open the door and just walk out. …
I'm giving this a 5* rating as a budget motel. The room and bathroom were clean and redone in the not to distant past. Two queen beds with 4 pillows each and the room was large enough that you could move around even with the 2 beds. TV with HBO, microwave, fridge, coffeemaker, hair dryer, alarm clock, good wifi, a light and plug for each bed on shared nightstand between the beds. Small desk with a long low dresser that served as a place to put your bag up off the floor. Pergo style flooring instead of carpet, which is more common in this type of motel, and I actually prefer. Front and bathroom windows were new with screens and both opened up to let in fresh air. My room, 211, was set back a bit from the main street so it was quiet at night. My only nitpick was the curtains were too long and hung down over the AC unit blocking the airflow into the room What more could you want from a cheap sleep.…
Stayed here before the Solvang Century in lieu of the exhorbitantly priced accommodations in Solvang and was pleasantly surprised by the nice bedding and cleanliness of the room. Bathroom needs a wee bit of updating, but was fine.
Tried to cancel a reservation, Lisa Mathias would not cancel the reservation. Requested to speak to her supervisor and she stated she was the manager. Also requested a copy of the bill and she stated that she would not do that either. When I requested corporate telephone number to their account department, she told me "no" they are independent and then hung up the telephone. Although Lisa was courteous on the telephone, hanging up the phone call on a customer was unprofessional and not giving me the corporate number was also unprofessional. This will rate a 1 but it should be ZERO as this person (LISA) is a horrible representation of a great company.
The room was okay. I don't really have any faults with the motel except that there was no hot water in the shower. I couldn't understand because there was hot water in the bathroom sink and in the kitchenette sink. I was able to get some rest. There was a McDs a couple of businesses away.
