After years, I was finally able to come back to Jalama, and it's still the best little camp spot ever. They now have cabins available too. I'm definitely going to look into those next time. Camping right on the sand or even a few feet away IS THE BEST!

...I'm in for some trouble. This place is too good not to share, though. Sorry, Juanita. Yes, a long and winding road, but when you go over the crest and see this oasis, you'll see what I mean. Do NOT miss the famous Jalama burger, but watch out for the seagulls. They are fast and skilled.

Went to Jalama Beach for the day. We were so fortunate to have amazing weather and just a little wind. We walked for miles on the beach, then sat and watched the surfers and kite surfers. Ended our day with the Jalama Burger! Yum! A fabulous day!

Once off the highway you travel a 14 mile scenic road. At the end is the beautiful ocean and remote Jalama beach campground. We have an Rv and a generator so we didn't use the showers or bathrooms. You can take long walks on the beach and the sunsets are spectacular. The Jalama store and grill has great food and...

Location is kind of remote but the road from Lompoc to the beach is quite scenic. Entrance fee is $10 for the day. We tried the hamburger (20mn wait) and it was excellent. We then proceeded to the beach and walked for about 1h20 one way then there were big rocks that ward to climb on and we did not...

I highly recommend this site Make sure you bring a sturdy tent or trailer it's windy (At least in the end of May ) make reservation early cause it gets crowded. I also like the...

Booked two campsites here for April break for 3 nights. Went with a friend - we had sites 28 and 29. These sites are a great size but were very difficult to stake the tents and you really need to stake them because of the wind. Best: Bathrooms were decent for a campground - flush toilets and sinks, no soap...

We camp here every year in January or February when very few folks are here. It was 72 and sunny yesterday and should be the same today. Beautiful views from the terraced campgrounds or you can camp on the sand if you can do without hookups. The beach store has just about everything a little market would have including a...

We have taken three trips to Jalama Beach and stayed in the cabins each time. We love it. Secluded wild central California coast, watching whales and otters, surfing in the cold rough water, and talking long walks down the deserted coast with our dogs off-leash (allowed outside park boundaries). The cabins are cozy and clean and give great shelter from...
