Stopped here for a night after a couple of days in Death Valley before moving on north. This is a very good hotel with everything you would need. Clean rooms and good linen and towels nice beds and close to everything the town offers.

I was here on a work assignment and my coworker suggested we stay here from his previous experience fishing in Big Pine and Bishop. I was pleasantly surprised on the cleanliness of the rooms and the decor. The town is not very large and there is only one main street going thru which is the 395 highway. Every morning I...

Perfect, clean, quiet and adequate parking. Able to walk downtown to restaurants and shopping. A straight shot to Alabama Hills and close to Bristle Cone Pines. Personable employees and I got a great recommendation for a restaurant. Breakfast on the premisses or across the street.

Friendly staff in the lobby, knowledgeable about the area. The wifi was excellent. The beds were comfortable and all the amenities we needed. The lobby was a comfortable place to relax, and full of local history displays. A really neat place with a history all the way back to 1923. Within walking distance of a number of good restaurants, which...

For once we decided to break our journey from Reno rather doing the usual straight 9 hour drive south. We arrived a little before check-in time but this was not a problem. Staff very friendly. We had a room on the motel side (room 5) and this had recently been fully modernised. Nice furniture, very clean and fresh. Despite filling...

The Dow Villa was a pleasant surprise. The room was relatively large and the beds comfortable. What struck us most was how clean it was. We brought food so appreciated the relatively large fridge and working microwave. But what we liked most was the amazing view of Mt. Whitney. It was also very quiet.

Been staying here for years. I think we've stayed in almost every room in the place. Rooms are all great, even those in the original hotel, but tonight we are staying in room 32. Don't know how we got this room but it is fabulous. BIG, warm, central heat and air, giant T.V. and next to a top notch cafe....

This place is perfect. Clean, quiet, roomy, comfortable, with a very kind front desk and staff. It is close to good restaurants and to the Darwin Museum etc. I have stayed in both types of rooms and they were both pleasant, clean and comfortable. We even had a Jacuzzi tub in our room. What a value!
