The one-night stay was pleasant. Alfonso was a great host and he make sure that we were comfortable. He checked is in a little early since we were tired from our flight. He also took the initiative to book us a LA tour for the next morning.

If you get an inside room in the courtyard beware. It's worse than being in a jail. Imagine your terrace looks out to nothing but doors of other rooms. No light like a dead alley. The reception area desk is dirty. You can tell this is not run like a normal hotel. Its like a MOM and POP operation. Its...

Dear Valued Guest, I’m so sorry to hear that we fell short of meeting your expectations. I am a bit surprised to know that you disliked our inner courtyard rooms. If you notice our guest feedback, these are the most requested rooms because they are the quietest and have a nice view into our cobblestone courtyard. I do appreciate you...

Wow! The hotel was great; only exceeded by the awesome customer-focused staff. Everyone was super attentive from the front desk to the housekeeping staff to the breakfast team to maintenance !!! Loved the loft suite we had and hotel is only three blocks from the beach!

My wife and I just stayed here for 6 nights. To a person the staff was extremely professional and inviting. The new room designs are fantastic. And of course the location couldn't be better. Another benefit is hotel parking which is very much needed for this location.

Us, two Aussie girls stayed here, we enjoyed our stay, we liked Santa Monica which was 15 min away as Venice beach was way too dirty, busy, commercialised for me. The receptionist was lovely, very helpful and friendly thx Rasha. Rhonda from Perth WA 11/9

Everybody was so welcoming, the room was so modern & I loved that it was close by the beach to go on a romantic walk. My husband and I wanted to get away for one night & it exceed our expectations! Definitely coming back.

The hotel is comfortable and in a good location just far enough out of Venice to avoid any madness. Cab ride to Santa Monica is $12-3 and 10 mins. We loved the location with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The beach is a few hundred metres away. If you get chance, go for afternoon cocktails at the Shangrala in...

We stayed just one night at Inn at Venice Beach and were very happy. The rooms are very cool and funky in deco, spacious and beds are really comfortable. Very friendly staff on reception always offering recommendations for places around the area. Breakfast was a 'help yourself' affair which I really liked, no pressure to rush and finish your food...

We stayed here with our two children, 5 and 3, and had a lovely experience. We could walk to the beach, shops and cafes. The staff were excellent and very helpful offering great advice. The rooms were very spacious, clean with a lovely fresh retro decor. They also offered free wifi, and the complementary breakfast was a lovely addition, as...

Stayed 3 nights at the Inn. We had a room facing the beach and were surprised at how modern and funky the room was (in a good way). Orange and white are not typical room colors but it work well. The picture hanging over the bed of 50s(?) era beach acrobats was pure classic. There are many good restaurants and...

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
