We stayed for two nights at the end of July, we had a mezzanine room with a sofa bed downstairs and asked for a fold away bed as we have a teenage boy & girl who don't like to share. All the beds in the room made it tight but the rooms themselves are nice & the staff eager to...

We came to the Inn at Venice Beach very last minute! The Malibu Beach house we had rented for the week had a problem with the septic system and we were not able to stay there. We just had two days to find another place to stay for 4 adults - and we found a gem! The Inn at Venice...

We stayed at the Inn @ Venice Beach recently for a couple of nights. It was a very nice experience, especially for the price. It's only a couple of blocks from Venice Beach, restaurants and within walking distance from Abbot Kinney, that has some neat gift shops and boutiques. The room was clean and spacious with the beds being quite...

My husband and I stayed at this boutique hotel 15 years ago, and we just had to take the kids here during our first vacation to California! We love the location--so close to the action on Venice Beach. The rooms are clean and spacious. The kids were particularly intrigued by the orange slinky, the fun beach artwork and the colorful...

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in August 2013 and were extremely impressed. It is perfectly positioned, close enough to be able to walk everywhere, but not so close to bars that you a kept up all night. The room was very clean & comfortable and the staff were always helpful and friendly. On site parking was...

The room was very clean, beds comfy and the room was quiet. If you want safety, cleanliness, quiet and great location this is the place to stay. We...

This was our third time staying at the Inn at Venice Beach. Once again we were extremely happy with our stay. Rooms are quite large and extremely comfortable. They have recently redecorated, much to our chagrin. We used to love the beach/artsy vibe. The new color scheme with grey and orange is not very pleasant to look at, nor is...

We stayed four nights at this boutique hotel close to Venice Beach. The location is excellent, just a couple blocks from the beach. Nice rooms, clean and staff was very attentive. Reasonably priced for the area also. Breakfast was pretty traditional continental - nothing fancy. For the price, this place is a great find!

We stayed here one night during our excursion from SF down the PCH to San Diego. This hotel is two blocks from the beach and the notorious boardwalk. Great Mexican restaurant next door as well. Parking was an extra $10, but that is nothing compared to some places. Highly satisfied!!!

Having stayed in other hotels in the Venice/Santa Monica area before, we were very happy to find this place. For a family, being two blocks off the boardwalk is an advantage, it´s far quieter, but still just a short walk to the beach. We had the loft room which was quite perfect for a family of four with a nice...

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
