Me and a friend spent 1 night at the Cadillac Hotel. When we checked in we were told that there were no additional costs, during our stay! Unfortunately when we were about to check out, we had to pay a 45$ "Boutique Fee" which we had never heard before during!! Really strange, don't book here! The location is good if...

We stayed here with our 4 young kids. It was an awesome location just steps from the beach and they do provide towels at the front desk. The staff was fine but were didn't really deal with anyone much. My kids actually liked our stay by Venice Beach better than when we went to Disney for the day. A lot...

Once upon a time, this hotel use to be glamourous at one point in time. The lobby area is pretty nice and the staff seemed nice, but the rooms are kinda dingy! The carpets are gross, but all in all I didn't mind staying there. The BEST part about this hotel is their roof top access!! My family and I...

Staying in Venice Beach on the Beach is not cheap, but this is one of the more affordable options perhaps because of how rundown it is or the plethora of homeless loitering about, or another variable. It calls itself a boutique hotel, but I might use that term loosely. Even though online said no rooms were available, we called direct...

The hotel is in the perfect location for the beach, but it is very tired and run down. The downstairs lobby looks ok but the bedroom we had was extremely basic the paint was peeling, the carpet was badly stained, The window was a view of a brick wall across but the bed linen was clean and because we were...

Since I did not want to drive 1.5hrs to my destination at 9pm, I checked into this Venice Beach hotel using the Hotel Tonight app. It served its purpose. A clean, affordable nights rest. Found parking on a nearby street which was a pleasant surprise.

We stayed here last week for 5 days 4 nights. It was a girls trip! It is right on Venice Beach where you can do some major people watching. Lots of homeless people but they keep to themselves for the most part. The area is dead during the day but comes alive at night especially on the weekends. Lots of...

Bought this hotel for two nights off Groupon $457.00 cdn. Check-in was at 3:00 pm we arrived at 3:15 and had to wait until after 5:00 pm before the room was ready. Had to pay an additional $8.00 "boutique fee" per night and the parking was $25.00. Paying for parking is fine but the parking lot should fit max 10...

THE people saying this hotel sucks are obviously dumb, you get what you pay for! The Cadillac is soooo cute! Its right on venice beach, the rooms are cute, and workers are very nice. The only bad thing is the ridiculously small parking lot, but theres alot of other parking options. We parked one street over (less than a block)...

I stayed here 2 separate times at the beginning and that at the end of a week long trip to California. The first night we booked last minute for just a night to be close to Venice beach. the location is very convenient, it's right in the board walk and has an amazing view up in the big open rooftop....

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
