Good staff, nice room, very friendly ppl, checked inn last minute with a crying baby and a fussy 5 year old, there was an attendant at the window 24x7, talked very nicely and helped us out. I had a very nice night, slept good. It was a short but nice stay .. would love to go back someday and stay longer.

Checked in late at night (11:30pm). Went to our room - the bed was dirty with spotted sheets (later discovered it was blood stains on the underlying mattress), hair on pillows, etc. Front desk offered to change our room, we went to the new room which reeked of pain fumes. I had a headache within three minutes. We then agreed to take the other room if it was cleaned and we received a discount. The room had been prepaid through a hotel booking website and the manager on duty stated he could not provide a discount or refund since it was prepaid. It was now 12:15am and too late to go in search of another place to stay so we accepted the cleaning of our room. We returned and the sheets appeared clean, along with the pillows. The shower was still dirty (see photo) and the smoke detector was still hanging from the wall. Upon further inspection we discovered that the wires were cut! (see photo). The door knob was hanging from the door and basically not functioning. (see photo) I had a travel bar for the door so I did not make an issue of that. We spent the night. We requested a discount or refund from the "new" on duty manager, but she declined. Then the man who "assisted" us the night before appeared and began to call us liars, etc. for making statements about him refusing to provide a discount. The current manager refused the discount or refund since we stayed the night. We left and were glad to be on our way. Lesson learned - pay attention to reviews on ALL WEBSITES!!! ALSO....check in EARLIER IN THE DAY so there is an opportunity to move to another facility. This was a spur of the moment trip (fly to LA, tour all day, sleep at the motel, return home the next evening). I have stayed in one star and five star facilities and have been happy in both. This place was simply a mistake. We have contacted the reservation company we made payment to and provided photographs. We anticipate a full refund.…
