After reading the reviews on here I felt this motel would be perfect for our trip to Los Angeles. We were only in town for three nights but we had a pretty packed schedule. Dodgers Game, The Getty, The Farmers Market and Grove, Beverly Hills, Griffith Observatory were all on the list. Needless to say we were not in room...

(^^To quote the INXS song title). We stayed here for 4 nights in May. The motel was recommended by a work colleague. I knew what to expect so wasn't surprised. Once again (just like all the other hotels on this vacation) we were greeted at check in by a non smiling young man who wouldn't make eye contact, not a...

The Coral Sands Motel is a more then a decent accommodation. The location is a good starting point to visit the Griffith Observatory, Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, Paramount studios and close to the 101highway. The room we had was nice and clean and you get free parking.

The place is a little rundown but it's what you would expect for a 2 star motel. The rooms all look down onto a courtyard with a pool and hot tub. We didn't use these but many guests did and were happy with it. We had a room on the second level about halfway down the walkway. The room was...

Room was old but functional. The furniture and carpets were a bit dirty, but at least the bed sheets were perfectly clean. The shower was abysmal. Couldn't keep a steady temperature, kept fluctuating from too hot to too cold, I had to adjust the tap every minute or so. Ugh. Note that the location is wonderful, near Hollywood Boulevard, Sunset...

I didn't expect much because of the location and 2 star status. It was clean (carpet was really old) and the bathroom worked. Pool and Jacuzzi in the center. 2 floors with all rooms surrounding courtyard in the middle. Super friendly check in and out. The room was dark and outdated but it was all I needed for one night....

We were visiting LA to go to a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. We stayed 1 night mid week. I researched quite a bit before choosing this particular hotel and glad I did. 1. Friendly and helpful front desk. 2. Charges were exactly what we were quoted. NO HIDDEN FEES. 3. Room was recently updated, walked on carpet barefoot and...

Dollar for dollar the best value in the area. We went on a Tuesday for the Neil Diamond concert, check in was efficient and nice, got charged exactly what was advertised no hidden parking or internet fees, I hate that. The room had recently been updated, the bed, and pillows very comfy. Not 5 star, but again a great value....

The check in was efficient. Staff in general are friendly . I was let use Managers PC to print from my e mail as I couldn't get on line from available computer. So good of them. The accommodation is Run down. It certainly needs work. It is very Tired looking. The noise from the fridge kept me awake through the...

The place looks and feels rundown however the service and location are very good indeed with free parking and very close to metro system and a supermarket virtually next door. Reception has seen better days as has the whole complex really. Nice pool (cold) and jacuzzi in the central courtyard/garden. Quick and easy check in and showed to our room...

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
