After fighting traffic for 2.5 hours it was a pleasure to pull into this oasis of elegance and service, have my car whisked away and be personally escorted to staff who checked me in (including a letter from the manager and something I haven't seen...More
The hotel is a great hotel without question. The service is excellent and the staff very friendly! The rooms are fairly large and the bed is very comfortable. It is well maintained and very clean. The pool is on the roof and gives you quite...More
Club Lounge Access allowed me to experience The Ritz the way I imagined it to be. Room service was excellent as I requested items on numerous occasions & each service provided was greater than the prior. The rooms are clean, comfortable and bathrooms were very...More
This Ritz Carlton serves the brand well in terms of luxury amenities, calm and quiet public areas and prompt and personal service but it lacks anything special that would distinguish it from any other well managed Ritz. The hotel sits above LA Live and just...More

Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants
in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.

Not sure if there are cabana's. But, the Ritz is very well known for making your stay pleasant. Simply ask via email and they will likely provide cabanas for you and your guests. Also, know the hotel is on the bluff, so, instead of a poolside cabana, I highly recommend a bike ride or walk down on the beach. The hotel has bikes, is partners with the lovely Monarch golf course and maybe after some fun then renting an umbrella or cabana but make a request in advance of your arrival. Hope that helps... Enjoy .
