I got a double room but it had a view to a wall. Not a nice one if you ask me but I don't care a lot about that. Living in Rio de Janeiro kind of kills it when it comes to stunning views. The toilet had a glass door. It didn't bother me but be advised. The staff was...

I stayed here for three nights last week and let me start off with saying how great the staff is at the O Hotel--from the front desk to the housekeeper they were all smiling, friendly and helpful. The hotel is a great value for downtown LA and has a modern vibe. It's near the Staples Center, Convention Center and LA...

My trip started in Pasadena on the Metro link which I took to 7th street. When I got off the Metro, it was a few blocks to the Hotel. The Hotel reception was very friendly. Room 303 overlooked Flower St. and had a view. The hotel has a European feel to it. The shower had great water pressure, the AC...

I loved this hotel. It was within walking distance to everything I was in town for, the room was beautiful and the property was excellent. The guy who checked us in was very friendly, his name started with an A. If anyone has a complaint about the view or noise, maybe they spent way too much time in the room....

O hotel has great location when you want to stay @ downtown. The staff is very friendly. The bar & kitchen restaurant has an amazing romantic atmosphere, great food and drinks. The city view room was nice with a very powerful shower. The only area that needs improvement is the isolation of noise ( windows and walls are not good...

Stayed here one night while I was in town for a baseball game. The best word to describe the hotel: functional. No frills, no views, the rooms are pretty drab, and there's an unnecessary $14 resort-type fee that you get charged outside of the quoted hotel room rate. For what, who knows... It was one of the "cheaper" places to...

I'd never stayed here before, but I just spent three nights at this hotel (in town for a conference) and had a pleasant stay. The staff (including the housekeepers) could not have been friendlier. The rooms are small but not shoeboxes. Nice bathroom. The room was very clean (every day!) Continental breakfast (pastries, bagels, oatmeal, fruit) in a pleasant setting...

This boutique hotel is just as it sounds, a boutique. If your looking for a grand experience, my suggestions would be to look elsewhere. Parking is $12.00 a day with NO in and out privaleges. The rooms are small and have an Ikea feel. If you are not an Ikea fan, once again, I would not recommend the hotel. The...

Like many others we booked this place because of its proximity to Staples Center. We paid about $200 for a night including a decent continental breakfast. All in all I found the value not be good. The staff is friendly, the rooms arent too big, but the bathroom is nice. I was not charged a "service fee" like people below,...

Small but nicely appointed comfortable rooms. Helpful friendly front desk. Reasonably priced parking garage next door. Enjoyed a nice breakfast and a very good dinner in the restaurant. Would stay again, and look forward to it!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
