We liked the DoubleTree and the service staff were very helpful, but our stayed was marred by extremely loud construction above our hotel room at 8:30 AM on one of the days of our stay. (Loud enough to wake my wife sleeping with earplugs.)

Hello Christian, thank you for sharing. I am sorry that the advancements of our neighboring area caused you grief. Even with all the people arriving at the same time, the attendants took care of everything seamlessly. Everyone was attentive and always with a smile. The conference we attended went off without a hitch and the room we staid in was clean and comfortable. The long hours of the event did not allow us to fully take advantage of the...

This hotel was nice but trying to get them to remove items or update your bill upon check out was anything but pleasant. I only want to initially be billed for charges that I incur. Otherwise, the atmosphere of the hotel was nice and the staff that greets you upon arrival (outside) are very nice and accommodating.

In DT LA, my expectations were low. But, this ex- Japanese Hotel is upgrading and is abutting Little Tokyo (Japantown). It is clean, efficient, has a Starbucks and close to Many good Japanese Restaurants within walking distance. The warm cookies at the front desk are a treat.

This property is well located for the downtown, just a few blocks from City Hall, the state and federal courts, adjacent to Little Tokyo, a short walk from the Disney theater, farmers market and more. I stayed at Double Tree L.A. Downtown got 4 nights with my husband. We were satisfied except the daily cleaning service. Everything was great: location, close to Little Tokyo, affordable price, Starbucks in the hotel.. However, I woke up and several hours later, I found nasty bug bite marks near my wrist. I suspected it was some kind of house...

Great stay. Cookies are tasty, fitness center is well stocked, room was clean and comfortable. I forgot toothpaste and shaving cream, but they were able to quickly bring some to my room. Restaurant had a great breakfast as well (and quite affordable as well!).

Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
