I stayed at The Mayfair Hotel for a quick trip to LA on business and found it on internet search. Its not in "the center of things" but it is close to everything. Only 10 minute walk to LA Live/Staples Center etc, but also close to downtown. The hotel obviously was at one time a very glorious grand hotel. No...

I spent the night here with two friends, we were on a budget so needed an affordable place to stay in LA for the night. The price was great, rooms were fine, not flash but clean and comfortable. The neighbourhood seemed a little questionable but we had no problems walking home late a night.

Its seriously old. Its not dirty per say, but since its so old its unclean. They have lampshades which are at least 50 years old. The bathroom is very very small with prehistoric bath fittings. These fittings have collected grime and stains over the years and hence look very dirty I had booked a queen bedroom and the room was...

The hotel needs a good cleaning. Carpeting is worn, dirty, and stained in common areas and rooms. Could also benefit from improved paint and some TLC. Rooms are rather small and not very well decorated. Beds themselves and linen were clean.

Only worth it if you get a really cheap rate ($70) and are happy to slum it a bit. This hotel is in a pretty unpleasant neighbourhood - with no decent restaurant, cafe, or bar nearby. It also felt kind of dangerous walking around at night. Whilst it's a 15 walk from the Western side of Downtown, we were here...

Super small, really old and dirty. Had to back into bathroom if you want to close the door. Very sketchy area of town- drunks and prostitutes right outside. Now we can see why this hotel was used in tv and films as a shady type of hotel.... Had no issues checking out early, hotel must do this many times a...

This place was DISCUSTING. The carpets were stained, the bathroom was filthy. I accidentally spilled some peroxide on the bathroom floor, and the grout bubbled for over an hour. There was absolutely no water pressure in the shower let alone, room to move. Maids did not replenish toilet paper, we had to get our own. We didn't even have a...

We stayed at the Mayfair Hotel on a Friday night to party and spend the night after clubbing at 2 local clubs. The hotel lobby was great. The service and hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. There's a nearby 7-11 store. I recommend this hotel if you're there to party in LA. They provide you with a ride service...

The lobby is beautiful and obviously restored, the overall property has some lovely historic charm. It is a 1926 hotel though so many of the facilities haven't seen replacement in a few years. The staff was helpful and accommodating and we had no challenges with check-in or billing. Our suite was interesting because it was obviously two smaller rooms that...
