Located a short walk from Central Station this is a nice hotel if you are on a budget but want to be close to town. When I stayed there were a often a number of homeless people outside the hotel spitting at people and this did not make me feel 100% safe, especially when arriving there at night. Parking you...

This great little hotel one block from Union Station in Chinatown ticked all the boxes for me and more. Things which impressed me: 1. They let me check in early around 11am when my flight from Australia got in (usual check in is from 3pm). 2. Good service from the staff which was relaxed and not overdone like some hotels....

My sister and I traveled to LA from Houston so we could ride the Amtrak back. Since we were not familiar with the area we chose a hotel near Union Station due to the convenience. Metro Plaza Hotel is located about one block from the station. The hotel is simple and outdated, but it was clean and a very good...

While the location is excellent near the old LA buildings and Chinatown as well as Union Station, the rooms are very much in need of renovation. Inadequate lighting, poor beds, but at least it was clean. Internet was free and acceptable. Breakfast free but very limited. All things considered, ok value for money

We stay here whenever we are visiting the downtown area. The employees are friendly and helpful. They charge $4 a day for self parking. No big deal. The rooms are comfortable, and clean. The beds are great. You are right across the street from the Olivera Street Experience and just a short half block from Phillipe's, where the French dip...

The owners make a real effort to make this below average, motel like, facility into something more. Air conditioning can be erratic, but windows can open. Bathrooms are excellent, and beautifully maintained, which is important as the rest of the room is decidedly sparse, and spartan. The key is location. Far away enough from Union Station not to be noisy,...

The room size is fine and the cleanliness is ok even if the design looks old. The location is good, near Union station but unfortunately is too pricey for the quality itself plus in house guests still have to pay for the parking. The service is so so, only one of the chinese staff, a housekeeper I guess , he...

No frills but clean with comfy beds, and really close to union station. Traffic noise could be heard in the room but earplugs dealt with that. Breakfast is very basic - bread, cereal, fruit and coffee. No nightlife nearby but downtown bars are a 10-15 min walk away.

We were traveling through Los Angeles and taking the Amtrak to San Francisco. We needed a reasonable hotel close to the station. Metro Plaza is two blocks, an easy walk. While it is not chique or plush this hotel was clean, comfortable. I could not believe how large our room and bathroom were. The breakfast room was busy at 8...

Staff friendly, clean rooms and lobby, great parking right next to hotel inside garage and perfect location. I would stay there again for sure. Booked through Hotel.com for one night while there for a show and never stayed at this hotel before so we were hoping it would be a good experience and it was! I do recommend this. This...
