We went from Colorado to L.A For vacations and we tried near in China Town....It was the closest hotel we could find, but the for the price we paid we expected something a lot more luxurious, we had to pay $150 for ONE night. The Asian Male that tended to us treated us very badly, never made eye contact, and...

Needed to spend a little less than a day in LA after taking the Amtrak Coast Starlight down the coast and before catching the Southwest Chief to Chicago the next evening. I wanted to get a hotel that was right near Union Station, so I could get in and out quickly, and this place fit the bill. Even though I...

Pros: Wanted a location close to Union Station and this is less than a 5 minute walk from there, 10 minute walk to downtown and 2 minutes to the interesting Olivera Street. Room size was more than enough and bathroom was also nice. Continental breakfast and free newspaper also provided which was nice. Negatives: WiFi code was weak. Turns out...

First stayed here about 5-6 years ago and had a lengthy review, I recall that I thought that it was a pretty decent place overall. My opinion hasn't changed, but here are some updates to my latest visit.... First off, this place has done some updating and the entire property is pretty spiffed up -- no longer can you automatically...

I wanted a hotel near Union Station since I had a meeting the next morning at the Metropolitan Water District around the corner from the station. This hotel was the closest and, with 3.5 stars, I figured it would be OK. Well, my room stinks, literally -I hope I don't smell like this after sleeping here! The hotel is very...

The hotel was ok, rooms were tidy and I was able to check in early and leave my luggage for an hour post checkout. Super handy to union station and downtown attractions. I stayed on the one rainy night in LA and my room sprung a leak. I was provided a bucket which was fine, but made me wonder how...

hotel was really neat and clean. if you want to have a peaceful sleep after a tiring day, you can choose this hotel. It was very near to the station and all other destinations we needed to visit. Hotel price was a bit costly and complimentary breakfast was fulfillng. We came way ahead of our check in time but they...

We chose this hotel coz of its proximity with the train station. Good room we got. We felt it was bit costly compared to other hotels in la. Please be aware checkin time is 10am. If you barge in early in the morning, you will have to leave your baggage in the reception. And wait till 10.

This hotel is not bad but I think it's a bit pricy for the services they offer. The rooms were clean and no problems. There is a free breakfast too which is a good thing for people on budget traveling. Location is a bit sketchy at night since it is located by chinatown. And the hotel is very close to...

So many hotels have star rating preposterously above their real level, that finding a hotel, which under-rates itself is pleasantly refreshing. Metro Plaza definitely deserves a 2.5 star rating. It's centrally located, has decent, even interesting rooms (those with king beds), rooms are quiet, bathrooms updated, views are open, parking is cheap ($4), breakfast is a frugal buffet, but hey,...
