The ads make this place look like a cute and artsy place... but my experience in reality was that it was an old run down apartment complex with some paint thrown on to cover up the yuck. The staff was friendly and the lounge and downstairs seemed ok... just thought the room was not so cool.

We stayed at this hotel for a few days while son a tour with a school, the rooms are very spacious and modern with clean bathrooms and a lovely pool. Staff were friendly and a convenient store across the road, I would def recommend this hotel and it's also very cost effective.

Considering how much we paid for a room for a family of four (2 x large double beds), we didn't have tea/coffee or a fridge in our room which was the norm everywhere else we stayed in California (and for cheaper). We paid a staggering $212 per night, therefore we should have had these essentials. We were given a room...

The rooms had been remodeled but I looks like that just threw a coat of paint on everything. It's looks very cheap and poorly done. The outside restaurant had good cocktails and they had a pen and paper event with was nice as well. We had breakfast at the Patio Cafe. Both the food and service were excellent!

My son and I had to fly in quickly to L.A. and someone suggested we stay at the Sportsmen lodge. It was a great hotel. The rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were very comfy. I personally loved the decor (we are currently redecorating our home to be rustic chic) so we fit right in. It was very...

This hotel is as described by others, an older hotel that has been renovated. It has the most comfortable bed that we have ever slept on, a good basic coffee shop called the Patio, an enormous swimming pool. It is competitively priced, all the staff were polite and helpful and the rooms are a generous size.

It's not a lodge. Glad we got that out of the way. I have stayed at the hotel a few times over the years. My last stay was about 3.5 years ago. Priceline put me here for $150. Let me say that I like this place. I like the "history" of it and I like the vibe. But in my...

Hello Baronent, Thanks for the great review. We are glad that you decided to give us another chance even though your previous stay was a little bit bumpy. Currently we are working on re glazing all of our bathroom tile. Unfortunately, we do not have a gym onsite. We do have a gym next door within walking distance.
