GREAT staff! Location was cool...easy access to everything. No issues with street people at anytime. Loved art vendors. Pay the xtra $5 or so and get UR bike rental. Had a blast riding to Santa Monica for the day. Too bad I could only stay 1 day. Loved "Betsy" the elevator! Room was as cozy as sleeping at a friends...

This hotel is amazing! The suites are lovely; complete kitchen and dishes, great bed and bathroom and cozy amenities. I love the brick in the rooms. And the staff was the most most friendly, helpful staff of our entire vacation! Not to mention right on the beach-walk, and close to all the great venice attractions. Great stay. Definitely will come...

We had a blast staying at the Venice Beach Suites Hotel, right on the beach, and as funky but warm as they come! Our rooms for our party of 5 were on the fourth floor, overlooking the ocean, and the sounds of the street and surf were always with us. No AC, but fans and lots of windows to have...

Having your group here was great! It seemed like every time I looked up someone was grabbing a chair or a boogie board from the lobby and headed out to the beach. From our CA family to yours... thank you for staying with us!

Ok, this place is really cute! It's like your own little Ikea apartment in Venice Beach! It was clean and spacious with a tidy little kitchen and an INCREDIBLE view of the beach and ocean! I recommend a high floor so that you can open your windows and let the sounds of the bustling boardwalk below waft in, and not...

Not only does this review paint an accurate portrait of the atmosphere of Ocean Front walk but it's sharp, well-written and got me laughing! I love it when people "get" Venice Beach. Thank you so much for staying at our boutique hotel!

I'm always humbled to hear how far folks travel to visit Venice Beach... we're so lucky to be a world-famous vacation destination. I'm so glad you enjoyed the view from our hotel. Any day you get to see the ocean is a good day!

We received a very warm welcome, were offered a cup of coffee and given useful information on some local places to eat (various prices/styles). We booked the Queen Studio (#205) as it was the cheapest option and although it's not advertised as having ocean view (partial or full) we could nonetheless see the ocean from the window, just above next...

We stayed here for 2 nights after a long stay in freezing New York. The hotel is right on the beach and is perfect for a relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle of LA, amongst the street culture and colour of Venice, CA. Would definitely stay here again! Perfect self contained apartment.

The Venice Beach Suites and Hotel is never going to be the best place you have ever stayed in. The rooms which include a kitchen and utensils are a little cramped and thrown together but it you like the vibe in Venice Beach then this is the place to stay - much better than the now pretentious Hotel Erwin where...

This is an important review to read... A lot of people ask about night life in Venice Beach; there isn't much. Sure, you can find some neat bars and restaurants that have a mellow vibe; maybe a bit of live music but there's really no late-night scene. Our coastal community is best enjoyed by waking early and being active by...

The hotel deserves a 4. We'd give the area a 2. That averages out to 3. We found the staff to be very helpful. They even supplied us with beach chairs, umbrella and towels. The hotel itself is what you'd expect from a 100 year old building that has been very well maintained. Great place if you like that sort...

This is a very important review to read if you're on the fence about visiting Venice. Some people can't handle the stark, raw realities of life on the Venice Beach Boardwalk and that's okay, I hope they find what they're looking for elsewhere. Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
