Everyone looking into accommodations around Santa Monica and Venice knows how overpriced rates can be without getting any standards. The Inn at Marina del Rey is different. + Service The check-in was fast, convenient and the receptionist was excited to give us further area information. + Amenities The room was clean, spacious and the breakfast had a wide range of...

Highest compliments go to the staff. Front desk people, breakfast area attendants, household staff, all were welcoming, efficient, friendly. The breakfast offerings were that much better and tastier than the usual. Our 2 queen bed room was spotless, roomy, light. Our family, who live in LA, had a good time in the small pool and hot tub, and in the...

Had a great time here, rooms are clean and tidy, staff is very service-friendly and helpful. The hotel is a 10min walk to the beach, and is situated in a quiet area, so no noise at night as far as we noticed. The front desk even arranged for a limo-service for us which we used our last three days of...

My wife and I stayed at The Inn at Marina del Rey in mid-October and we were very satisfied with the staff, the room, the location, and the overall experience. The hotel is easy to find and has parking within the hotel at no extra charge. The check in was very professional and the room was very nice and clean....

Recently stayed here for seven nights, hotel was great, room large and spotless with excellent amenities, large TV, fridge, two Queen beds etc. Pool and Hotub are small but again spotless with towels provided and the outside seating area is superb but with benefit with a small bar in the evenings. Breakfast was good and simple but a bit repetitive...

Location was important to us when we chose to stay here. We were able to walk to the Venice canals , Venice beach, famed Muscle Beach and artsy Abbot Kinney Blvd. We chose a suite since we would be there for 3 nights. Plenty of room. We enjoyed the hot tub after a day of sightseeing.

This hotel is very clean, the rooms are efficient, beds are comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. Bathroom is small but very clean. It has free parking in an underground garage, which is nice in the neighborhood. The full breakfast was not very good - standard stuff, eggs out of a box, but in general the value is...

Big fan of this hotel (recent stay was 2 nights)! The location is great for anything Venice & Santa Monica (and getting downtown to Staples Center isn't too terrible). Clean rooms, free continental breakfast, free wifi, and free parking makes this place a no-brainer.

We stayed 6 days here on a recent visit to LA. The Hotel is 10 minutes walk from Venice beach. The hotel is in an older building, but the furnishings and fittings are modern and new. The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast room was well stocked and the staff refreshed supplies...

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
