We stayed for five nights in a suite. Our suite was located away from Washington Blvd, so it was quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and there was plenty of variety - waffles, oatmeal, sausage & eggs, cereal, bagels, etc. It would be nice if they also had...

Our family of 2 adults and 2 teenage daughters stayed in the suite (one room divided into 2 sleeping areas by sliding doors) for 6 nights. The room was more spacious and better equipped than we expected. The double bed was very comfortable but the sofa-bed not so much. Parking included. From the hotel we could walk to Venice Beach....

This hotel is very clean! Staff is beyond helpful, from front desk to room service. Breakfast included is decent. Washer and dryer on premises, and a workout room. Pool is smaller than we thought from pictures, but the beach is pretty close. We were very happy with our stay here!!

Close to the beach (15 minutes walking) this is a very good value hotel. The pool and spas are small but they are fine for a "end of the day relax moment". The rooms are clean, but not really large. If the sofa is open it's quiet difficult to walk in the room (no place for luggages). But it was...

We stayed here for 4 nights .. we really enjoyed it. Clean, well appointed rooms. Plenty of free parking, free wifi, nice hot tub and small pool. The outdoor seating area was also very nice. There are several options to eat in walking distance, we even walked to Santa Monica along the beach one evening. Although the taxi is a...

As prices around Santa Monika were sky high I opted for this hotel as it seemed more reasonable price wise. The hotel has been recently done up , so rooms and bathrooms are clean, however on the small side. We had the family suite which had a sliding door to separate the 2 areas and the sofa bed was a bit...

I chose this hotel as a convenient place to stay near LAX for one night before an early flight because of the price and the location. I found the member of staff on reception to be very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The free parking was a pleasant surprise, as was the free WiFi. The room was nicely decorated, clean, well...

My husband and I stayed here overnight on August 6th. We were down in L.A. for a concert and wanted to stay near the beaches. The Best Western Plus did not disappoint. Quiet, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Parking was easy and free. The hotel itself maybe a little older but well maintained. We...

Loved the free parking and smooth check-in. Quiet, and large clean room. Comfortable bed and nice linens. Most importantly, clean bathroom! Breakfast was just so so and the breakfast room seemed small for the size of the hotel. The desk clerk gave me a subtle hint during our check-in that if we chose to take our breakfast up to our...

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
