Breakfast was exceptional -- fresh fruit, homemade muffins and bagels, a great variety of beverages in cooler, granola, etc. When I told the owner that my grandsons were coming for breakfast she said she'd whip up some pancakes. They were very good. The bed was comfortable and room had a cool new A/C that was whisper quite; it had a...

First, finding an economical motel close to Yosemite is hard to do. If you are looking for a quaint, old motel with free wi-fi, air conditioning, a small flat screen tv, with a friendly owner who provides homemade muffins for breakfast, then this is the place for you. The motel is old, but it is clean, and the sheets and...

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night. The owner, Jill is wonderful. Welcoming and helpful. The room was quaint and super clean. Freshest linens and comfortable bed. Complimentary Fresh baked breakfast items and coffee. Oldest hotel in Mariposa and has the charm to match. We will definitely stay here again the next time we pass through Mariposa

Finding comfortable, reasonably priced accommodations around Yosemite has always been challenging for us. It's the law of supply and demand around the park. The River Rock Inn was clean, the bed was comfortable and they provide guests with great white chocolate chip/cranberry cookies. On the downside, we considered the price a bit high and its location is about an hour...

Stayed here over Memorial Day weekend with husband and 6mo old baby. We booked this relatively last minute for a trip to Yosemite, it was only about an hour from the park in a cute little one-horse town that made for a great weekend getaway. We weren't expecting a high end hotel and were completely satisfied with the accommodations -...

Every year we travel to Mariposa for the BMW Motorcycle 49er Rally. We usually stay our last night at one of the chain hotels in town. This year while browsing hotels I came across the River Rock Inn. It looked so quaint and cute I decided we would give it a try. We weren't disappointed. The room was great and...

We were pleased overall with our visit. We arrived late but our key was in the door of our room (we checked a chalkboard outside the office for the location). We had 2 rooms and wished we had put our elderly parents in #7 instead of #6. It seemed a bit larger and the shower is easier to get into...

Stayed here at the beginning of the April. We are a family of four with young children (10 and 5) and had Suite A, the first room behind the welcome sign. Nice big room with comfortable beds and the whole place seems an excellent fit for Mariposa itself - laid back, relaxed and charming. It's in a good location just...

Located slightly off the Main Street, the motel is the oldest. The rooms are quaint but a bit old - I felt the pillows were uncomfortable but it didn't seem to bother my husband. The breakfast was the best we experienced and included toasters granola, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, bagels and muffins. It took over an hour drive to get...

I have reviewed this accommodation in the context of a middle aged couple travelling on a limited budget. We use Tripadvisor reviews to help with the selection of our hotel, disregarding the very best or very worst if they are inconsistent with other reviews. We were happy with our stay here; it was equal to our expectations. The location was...
