Ron was extremely welcoming and friendly, and the room was very comfortable! The Inn lies in a beautiful area next to the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada, and is a short drive away from South Lake Tahoe, Hope Valley, and Markleeville.

Nice stay at Woodfords Inn this weekend. Comfortable beds and showers at very reasonable rates. Ron checked in to make sure we were comfortable - give us hot tea on a cold afternoon and warm welcome. We sat outside watching the star show late at night with comfortable chairs, benches etc. all up on a hill with great views. Very...

I called and spoke to Ron about an hour and a half before we would arrive to book a room. Ron took my name and phone number, no credit information, and told me they had room 3 for us but they would be gone when we arrived. He left a key in the door, turned on the light and turned...

Had to stay here a week and it was a budget hotel. Thin walls, creaking floors/ceiling, single pane windows and hard beds. Sorry but it was so hard to sleep. I'm a light sleeper anyway, and could hear next room's bathroom fan, flushing, showers and tv. No cell service if you're ATT. They do have wifi for free, a nice...

We stayed at this charming Inn for the weekend of the death ride. Very comfortable accommodations. Owners Ron & Donna add a very personal touch and make it a delightful, memorable experience. Newly remodeled interiors make for a restful, relaxing stay. They offer free wifi service, in room coffee makers and satellite TV. We will be back. We have already...

We're used to a much softer mattress, so we had trouble sleeping here. The motel is a little dated and needs new linens. The owner was very accessible and friendly. The motel is in a beautiful setting.

Clean, comfy, reasonable and perfect for traveling with a doggie! Did I mention Ron, the super friendly helpful host/ owner? Great spot! Convenient location for Kirkwood and day adventures. Rooms are updated, frig, microwave and coffee maker, amenities and new fixtures.

I spent a few weekends there every time me and my friends go to Kirkwood. It's an affordable motel with a the best manager ever, he is super charming and kind :) I totally recommend this place if you only want to spend the night and leave at the following morning. It provides hot shower and good location.

This motel is a good value for the price. The owner, Ron, is extremely helpful and outgoing. He clearly enjoys interacting with customers, and does everything he can to make you comfortable. Important information: the address may be Markleeville, but it is 6 miles to there, and 6 miles the other direction for other dining options. Absolutely nothing nearby, except...
