We had a group of 10 business travelers stay for just a single night. The entire group is now looking forward to going back. Cindy was so accommodating for our group. Including arranging for some s'mores and a firepit and even a local guitar player to come. The hotel is well kept, and the food is fantastic! Can't wait to...

It began with a warm and personal welcome by Gary, owner and proprietor for just one year of this historic and beautifully restored hotel in a former logging town. A great history about this building is pictured on the walls of both the main and upper hallways. Albums grace the sitting room next to the fireplace that chronicle the history...

The McCloud Hotel is a throwback in the best sense -- easy-going yet stylish, tasteful yet not stuffy. The owners and employees were attentive to every detail of our stay, making sure that we (and our beagle!) were comfortable in our accommodations, and well-informed about local sights to see. The food is outa-sight delicious. Yes, this is a rave review....

At the McCloud Hotel, Cindy greets you with a welcoming smile as though she were an old friend and she owns this place! That is special. Upon entering my quiet and comfortable room, serenely decorated with some antique furniture, the stress of a busy travel schedule began melting away. Dinner, (I had the mussels steamed to perfection and a fresh...

Had a wonderful time celebrating our son's upcoming wedding with the rehearsal dinner at McCloud Hotel. The place and food were both amazing. The owner, Cindy, was wonderful in attending to all our needs. Was a wonderful evening! The beef tenderloin, Lake Lassen steelhead trout, and the wonderful chicken were all superb. The crab cake appetizers were to die for....

We've stayed and eaten at the McCloud Hotel many times over the years, and have always enjoyed it. However, it recently changed ownership, and we found the dinner experience there was better than ever. My wife's steelhead trout was delicious, and my shepherds pie was also very good. The new owner made sure to stop by and check on us,...

I should preface this by confessing I am unabashedly in love with McCloud due to a long family history. The McCloud Hotel is just lovely -- the setting, decor, comfort, toiletries. The owner is very friendly and chatty; her love of the hotel shows. The breakfast was yummy and made to order. Even our dog liked the comfy bed that...
