Each year, just before school starts, I take my daughter on a mother/daughter beach get away. This year we decided to go to Mendocino and Fort Bragg. After comparing many inns, I selected the Blackberry Inn. We were thrilled with this cute place! The outside of each room has a unique Old West theme. We stayed in the Barbershop. This...

Some people overlook the Blackberry Inn because it is up the hill from the town of Mendocino. That would be a mistake. The Blackberry Inn is a charming series of units, each portrayed as part of a turn of the century village. The units are up to date with modern bathrooms and bedrooms. Because of its distance from the village...

Enjoyed our recent 2 night stay at the Blackberry Inn while visiting the quaint village of Mendocino & surrounding area. Each room of the inn was western themed. We stayed in the Palace room which was spacious & had everything we needed. Appeared to be newly decorated in Victorian style & everything in perfect working order, along with a very...

Found this place on the net and right up until we arrived I wasn't sure if I'd done the right thing ... but we had such a warm welcome from the receptionist that my fears were instantly put to rest. It was a surprise for my husband and he loved it. The site was beautifully silent (we had summer fog...

Though not a full breakfast, they had coffeemakers, microwave, refrigerator and refrigerated (not powdered!) crea, excellent brownies and muffins for our room as well as...

I loved the outside framing of the units decorated like different shops in an old western. Saved in the center was a wonderful meadow and a view of the ocean in the distance. My unit was surrounded by trees. The room itself was spacious and clean. No spiderwebs. Glistening windows. 2 queen beds, kitchen unit, separate shower, tub, sinks and...

We stayed at the Blackberry Inn on our way from San Francisco to Seattle. The Inns a short distance from Medocino which is a great little town and is really pretty. When we arrived we instantly felt really welcome and Bobby the dog was happy to see us too. We stayed in the 'Saloon' named room, which was lovely and...

Each room has a different set up with a different name, very clean, very quiet. Entirely different experience than staying in a hotel. Location is convenient, right off the main road, a couple of min drive to downtown Mendocino, yet hidden from the noisy tourist sections. Welcome staff is also a big plus.

We stayed at Black Berry Inn, School House cottage for a couple of days with our 5 year old. This was the second time we stayed at the same cottage. The first time was 5 years back. We really enjoyed our stay here and therefore decided to come back this year. The little school house was very comfortable for our...

As my guy said the day we left, "we could have paid twice as much somewhere else and had just as good of a time." Blackberry Inn has everything that you need for a nice stay in Mendocino. We stayed in the Physicians room and found the bed to be large, the shower hot with great pressure, and the wifi...

“Avoid The Bank!”
  • Spots all over the carpet. Probably the source of the bad smell.
  • Can't they see the drapes are about to fall down?
  • Two hangars. Are they kidding?
  • Crumbs on carpet near baseboard. More inattention by the cleaners.
  • How tough would it be to touch up the caulk on the bathroom sink?
