I really was expecting to love this hotel. We chose it over another high end hotel because we thought it would be more relaxing, and very luxurious. Unhappily, for us at least, that was not the case. There were some good points. The hotel is physically very lovely, and although extremely close to 280, the rooms are surprisingly quiet. But...

There is nothing bad about the Rosewood in Palo Alto. The only mild criticism is that the location is on the far side of Palo Alto, you can't go for an easy run outside, and I think it is a bit over priced relative to what you get at $500 a night. I'd rather be closer to Stanford's main campus...

My husband and I had a massage at the Sense spa, part of the Rosewood Hotel, Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park, CA. Both our massages were excellent and we will return again. At the time we booked our massage, the reservations clerk made errors in time and type of massages we wanted. Although this was rectified when the spa called...

Stayed at the Rosewood as part of a business trip to visit VC firms in the Valley. Outstanding location and property. Service is top notch, property is extremely well kept, and the rooms are outstanding. Very spacious with the best in amenities. View from my room deck of the grounds was serene. The property is large so it can be...

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in - from the California King size beds, to the extra large bathrooms with showers that can hold more than a few people, to my own private patio facing an orchard of olive trees, and an amazing property that you want to explore. The restaurant and bar are highly rated, but the...

Long overdue review....There is nothing imperfect or not to love about this property! The rooms are spacious, meticulously cleaned and maintained (as are the grounds, bar and restaurant.) But the staff are what make this property 5+ stars! The Manager, Josh and the Valets, like Nick and others are friendly, helpful and incredibly thoughtful. Even the in-room dining attendants are...

Beautiful property. Beautiful/quiet rooms. Amazing bathrooms :-)....Nothing was missed. Cottages are spread out, which is nice, but walking to and from your car is a bit of a trek. Restaurant/bar is on the expensive side, but you are not rubbing shoulders with riff-raff.

Just spent a week at the Rosewood Sand Hill. Beautiful grounds and pool, huge well-appointed room, nice spa and fitness center. Good vibe, great meal at Michelin-starred Madera restaurant. By contrast to the relatively laid back experience overall, the bar scene was pretty wild -- great people watching for those of us who stumbled across the infamous Thursday "Cougar Night,"...

Yes the rooms are comfortable, but - the bath tub didn't drain, no captions on TVs or athletic equipment, many rooms overlook gravel, construction, or a parking lot; and the minute you set foot outside on your balcony you hear not birds, but all the traffic from the 6 lanes of Highway 280 immediately adjacent to the grounds. Yes the...

Stayed here for one evening while on business in Silicon Valley. It is a short drive to Stanford and close to main street Palo Alto. If you are looking for a high end hotel this is a very nice one. The staff are very good, welcoming, focused, listen quite well, and willing to walk you to whatever you need on...
