We chose St Bernard for its location near Lassen NP, and the inn's straightforward offerings of king-sized bed, full breakfast, dinner on request, hot tub. It filled all the squares for a small, comfortable lodging at a reasonable rate. I would usually shy away from an inn locat

I'm in the process of exploring my adopted state, and drove up from San Francisco to spend a weekend hiking in the Lassen Volcanic Park. Not knowing the area, I chose the St. Bernard somewhat randomly online - it proved to be exceedingly pleasant. Nice, comfortable place with goo

Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathrooms are shared but I believe all rooms have a sink. The property seemed relatively full, maybe around 80% capacity, and we never had to wait more than a couple minutes to use one of the two bathrooms.

This was a great place to stay near Lassen Volcanic National Park. My kids enjoyed it and it is really close to the park and the town of Chester. The food was great and great breakfast. The hosts were really nice and helped us out for the near by stuff.

Hi. Is it possible to book dinner at the lodge, even if we are not guests?
Yes, reservations need to be made at least one day in advance with your dinner choices. Visit our website for menu choices. Call the lodge to confirm reservation. Availability to take extra reservations is limited the sooner you call the better. Dinner hours are 5 pm 7:30 pm. 530-258-3382

Good morning! I've been reading past guests suggestions and I'm wondering which room is in the back corner? Looking for a Room with private bath, prefer King bed but quiet is the most important! Thank you, Elenita and Howard
Elenita: Room in back corner is Sunrise with 2 queen beds. Backside rooms with King beds are Evergreen and Woodland. All rooms have their own sink, but not full bathrooms. If you would like to contact me via phone 530-258-3382 and let me know when you are interested in visiting our area, I can give you an idea of how busy we might be. Please contact us if you just need general information on the area also. Looking forward to hearing from you. Sharon
