Among the giant redwoods with many on the property it self. this cute resort was build many years ago, but is kept spotless. Most of the cabins are individual so the grounds are very quiet, There is a basic market across and one restaurant in town. Nothing fancy here, just a cute place from days gone by. You get 1... Thanks Steve, Yes, this was originally a 1929 Motor Court, the kind that your grandparents probably sought out when they bought their first car. The present owner purchased the resort almost 40 years ago and remodeled all the cabins so they have a bedroom and updated amenities. We have some 3rd generation guests who now bring their own children and... More

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 14 July 2016

Miranda Gardens was perfect. Our cottage was impeccable, the management really friendly and the atmosphere is very inviting when not touring the Avenue of the Giants. .Campfires, games available. The cafe was great for supper and it was on the Avenue so we could go back and forth to the trees and trails. Would stay there again in a heartbeat! More

I was married August 27th in the redwoods near Miranda and rented several rooms for my family and I to stay in at Miranda Gardens. I have held off leaving a review for a long time because #1. I hate negative reviews of small businesses and #2. it brings up a ton of negative emotions for me about the disaster... More

Miranda Gardens is in a small town off US-101, about 29 miles south of Eureka, along the Avenue of the Giants. The room, 2A is small, but decent and clean. I suggest 4 and 4A, bigger rooms, but of course a little higher than 2A. They serve breakfast, bagels, toasts and juices. Across the street is a restaurant and few... More

Each of our cottages is different and as you mentioned, different sizes. One of the advantages of being an original 1929 Motor Court! We have cottages like 2A that will work for 2 all the way up to cottages with kitchens, fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. Thanks for your visit and your comments. Hope to see you again. More

We traveled from Crescent City to Miranda because my 8 year old grandson was playing in a football game at Miranda High School. It was very convenient because the school was right across the street from Miranda Gardens. We liked everything about our cabin. The beds were very comfortable. We had 2 separate bedrooms with a TV in each room... More

And we will welcome you back! The resort assumes a different atmosphere in the winter time. The rain on the trees sounds hushed and a warm cabin with a fireplace is just the ticket for a restful night's sleep. Some of our returning guests meet family and friends here over the Holidays because it is so quiet and always beautiful.... More

We stayed Cabin 5 and it was delightful. The deck out back is private and the view of the trees is beautiful. The cabin was spotless and well-appointed. The cafe across the street serves great food in a friendly atmosphere. We stayed at the Gardens during their winter season so no breakfast was available (which they told us when we... More

This little property has all of the charm and romance of motor courts of yesteryear. It also has all of the modern amenities with the exception of robust Wi-Fi. Many of the cabins have fireplaces and a few have kitchens. The hosts are very accommodating and pleasant. Our cabin was tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishings. The dining choices are limited,... More

I have stayed here many times over the years. I would plan a trip from Lake Tahoe to get out of the show and come over to the coast to spend time. This might be one I would send money like a "layaway plan" to some places and pay them so I knew I was paid in full when I... More

Miranda is indeed a small town and the Miranda Gardens has been there since the late 20's, originally as a motor court where your grandparents would take their new car on a trip to a unique restored resort with cottages in the Redwoods. We thank you for both your loyalty and your kind words. We look forward to your next... More
