A nice place to rest our weary bones and get cleaned up after a long motorcycle ride through the desert. The staff were friendly, the place was clean, Cable TV worked fine, Internet/WiFi worked great,, the bed was sufficient, the shower was hot, it was...More
Still a great place to stay for a reasonable price. The room was clean and comfortable. Since my last visit there are signs of maintenance. The Car park is now surfaced and there is more lighting which makes it more inviting. It is back from...More
Quiet, clean, comfortable place to stay one night on our way to Death Valley in December 2017. In reasonable rate even included a simple breakfast. The property is old, but well-kept and the room was relatively large, with refrig and coffee makes (although they severed...More

A lot of the hotels in Mojave are along the highway (C14) so it’s very busy with trains and trucks around the clock.
The Desert Inn is down a side road and away from the noise. That would be it’s best feature.

I think the rooms were located at the parking lot level. The bathroom door was not wide enough to allow a wheelchair, there was no grab bar by the toilet and the shower did not have any grab bars. The room was small and compact, so you would have items to hold while walking around if needed, but it did not have enough space to move around in a wheelchair. Perhaps the motel does offer a handicap accessible room, but I did not request that. However, I would call the Desert Inn directly to confirm this. You don't need any special licenses, visas, etc. to stay at a hotel in the US. What visas etc. you need to visit the US would depend upon your citizenship of a foreign country.

"We especially requested a quiet room and got a corner room with two queen beds."
