What a horrible motel. It is over-priced and totally over-rated, can't believe my eyes reading some of the reviews on this website. Check-in quick but once in our room we were straight on the phone / internet trying to find something else. We ended up staying only one night. Room smelled damp and musty, very dark, small, did not feel...

Dear Guest, I thank you for taking the time to right a review, even though it is a less than favorable one. I was sorry to read that you didn’t enjoy the sliding glass door with a locking screen that allows an easy walk to the heated pool and hot tub. Most of my guests love that convenience. I’ll admit...

We stayed here for 2 nights as we were travelling down the coast and loved it. We had a fireplace room that opened on to the courtyard and pool. The pool area was lovely, clean and comfortable. I loved the rooms and all the little touches. The man on the front desk was very helpful and recommended a nice restaurant...

This is a reasonable motel near to Old Monterey downtown and the wharf, and a 10 min walk from the free trolley bus to the aquarium. The rooms are pretty standard motel rooms with a patio door out to the pool courtyard. The main road is nearby, so it is a little noisy. The staff were efficient and courteous and...

We stayed here with our three (young!) kids for two nights. The "family suite" was terrific. A normal size room with a queen bed and bathroom, plus a smaller bedroom with bunk beds, a desk, wall-mounted t.v. and nintendo game system. Our girls LOVED their room and it was a great arrangement for a large family, and very reasonably priced....

We stayed for a night and already fell in love with the place! The room was really clean and the bed was comfortable. The fireplace was a nice touch and gave a homely feel. And we really appreciated all the little touches that was in the bathroom, nice folded towels, ribbons around the toilet roll and curtains. And of coz,...

We stayed in Room #100 where we had a private gated patio. The room has a king size bed, with a Jacuzzi right in the room. The little immenties like citrus smelling shampoo, mint scented conditioner, and lavender scented lotion was a special added touch. Cindy at the front desk is a God send. Her personality and hospitality made us...

This was a decent motel, and if you can get one of the very cheap rates others have mentioned, it's worth it. We paid $150 after taxes, and it's definitely not worth that. The room was basic. The patio was nice, and the chairs inside the room were new and good quality. The bed was hard. The shower was decent...

We booked the Monterey Lodge the day before on line, becuase of the price and good reviews on Tripadvisor and overall we were not dissapointed. The Good: - Very pleasant & courteous staff - Family suite was good sized with bunk beds for kids - Two free bottles of water in the large mini-fridge - Fast wireless Internet access - Decent sized TV in the main bedroom - Reasonable price...
