Wave Street Inn is a hidden gem! The location is excellent, the beds and linens are super comfy, and we loved that the walking trail and Aquarium were just steps from our front door. We rented bikes, the front desk helped us arrange it. You'l be happy staying at this cute spot!
Good location but we really struggled with sleeping the first night because our AC unit was not covered on the outside from the elements so we could hear the rain beating down on it like it was inside our room. The staff were nice but I expected some sort of compensation for the extremely loud noise keeping us up and no one offered. They gave me ear plugs. If it is raining on your trip I would avoid this place because of the noise.
We took a last minute trip to Monterey, CA. We looked at Hotel Tonight for a good deal on a hotel. We found Wave Street and we happened to be very close by, so we stopped in. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and honored the price on Hotel Tonight. It was a quick registration, gave us a bag of treats! Very clean and modern. Nice view of the ocean.
I brought my daughter up for a Christmas vacation adventure! It rained all the way here and it took us 3 hours more than planned. When we pulled in, we were exhausted! Reyna was working the front desk. She was wonderful!! She provided my daughter a snack bag and got us checked-in very quickly. Our room was clean and comfortable. The location is perfect walking distance to Cannery Row. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you Reyna!!!
Great value for money Inn. Excellent location one block back from the canning factory precinct. The room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. Reception was well staffed friendly and helpful. I marked it down only because the room was noisy at night with air-conditioning and fridge noises and I am a light sleeper. It is an older building in excellent condition but it doesn't have noise proofing. Other than that it was a great place to stay. If you fall asleep easily then this is the place for you.
Sadly... I "used" this beautiful hotel for one night's sleep and thats it... however if you're coming to monterey for several night, don't hesitate with this one. They have it all: (my room was two queens) Wonderful beds. Been to so many "one night" hotels and it's so important... well this is A+ Completely separated bathroom with a very good shower. The room is quite spacious considering it's a regular room. Located almost at the best street but as I wrote - a few steps from it. You wake up to the screams of seagulls and for me, it's waking up with a smile... Front desk woman was efficient and helpful. Plenty of (paid) parking. Hotel decor is impressive and welcoming, with fire pits in the yard (no smoking!!) A respectable hotel with fare pricing.
We went for a family trip plus business meeting at a nearby hotel. The family went to the aquarium everyday, and would go back to the room to nap, and then head back to the aquarium. It was an easy walk back to the hotel from the aquarium with lovely views. The room itself was a little small, and we had some humidity issues, but it was recently remodeled and looked very nice. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again. The area outside of our room had big rocks to sit on and there were tables and chairs around, as well as a fire pit if we wanted to be out of the room. It was perfect when we brought lunch back to our hotel to eat. Overall it was a very positive experience and the staff was fantastic!
It was an easy walk to Cannery Row for shopping and dinner. The firepits in the courtyard were wonderful. We talked with many other guests sitting around the firepit. The staff was super friendly. Parking is conveniently located underneath the hotel. I would have rated this hotel a 5 except for the noise from people walking on the floor above us. I would recommend staying here.
Great hotel but the walls are thin and being on the 2nd floor we heard a giant of a person walking around there room all night 1130pm, 130am. Called the front desk and they we nice and helped out. Staff was very nice and helpful and the fire pits are awesome.
This was a great visit, affordable hotel, nicely modernized, walking distance to good restaurants and friendly staff checking us in and out. The courtyard on the second floor was open and clean, the firepits/fireplaces looked like a fun place to sit.
