the location is good. The attached restaurant was above average. The rates seem to be in line with the area. If management would pay attention to details and upscale the staff they would have a great destination hotel.

Totally not worth the 170 bucks I spent. I understand it's Monterey, but there were several nearby hotels that were much better quality but just a little more. So here are the Pros: Has spa and pool (not very big) Nice staff Convenient location CONS: Outdated beds (even though they try to mask with contemporary heasboards-the mattresses are nasty and...

Thank you for sharing your experience with us as we use all feedback to improve our guest experience. In regards to the pool I believe our pool is quite large and the spa was recently renovated. Our beds were all replaced not too long ago. We will have our maintenance staff examine the air unit to ensure it is in...

This is a very large hotel property, with multiple buildings having multiple floors (2-3, I think, in each building). The check-in process was a little slow because there was some confusion about the credit card. I had pre-paid with Expedia but they initially had some problem processing that. Once that was cleared up, we drove to our room, which was...

It is a reasonable motel set into the hillside - four linked buildings. Easy car access to the rooms without stairs. Very convenient for the highway, and a straight run down the hill to Fisherman's Wharf. There is a gas station right outside the front door - you drive round the gas station to get to reception - which was...

Stayed here for the Big Sur Marathon. Didn't expect much for the price, but was surprised at the amenities, cleanliness & location! Sofabed, mini-fridge, pool, WiFi, plus a Whole Foods, Rite-Aid, other restaurants/shopping, and even a movie theater right across the street made this place a no-brained to stay at next time I'm in Monterey! Walls are thin, but bring...

We were passing through Monterey on our drive from LA to SF. I was surprised by the prices of all the hotels in Monterey. This one seemed decent and didn't want to charge an arm and a leg. We were happy with our room - clean, refurbished, and decorated attractively. There is a pool and a hot tub, but the...

Thank you for staying with us, I do apologize for the water temperature as it does get cold in Monterey but our hot tub is up and running and should be quite warm.

We enjoyed the comfortable and clean rooms and the quiet location. Very close to Carmel and the 17 Mile Drive. The Crazy Horse restaurant is on the premises which is convenient and has a great breakfast. The lower level has a bar with pool tables which is fun. Easy parking with lovely breezeways between the buildings.

Really enjoyed being so close to the beach and other great attractions. This hotel is also within walking distance to Whole Foods and Starbucks which was convenient. Check in process was easy and staff was friendly. My major gripe about this place is the walls are SO thin. I can hear every toilet flush, my neighbors sneeze, and conversations going...

The room had been updated, some things not done well; the drapes blow out when the heat is on. Heater has been tinkered with so there is only one temp so it is either on or off. Area behind drapes did not get painted inside the cornice. Heat Lamp timer in the bathroom has been tinkered with so the longest...

Thank you for staying with us, and we hope to have an opportunity to serve you again. All our bathrooms have both Heat Lamps and regular lighting. I am sorry the Heat Lamps turned off while in the bathroom but the Heat Lamps have not been tampered with as they are not supposed to be used as a light hence...
