I would have rated this property higher except for the noisy construction occurring each morning of my 3 day stay. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable, room was spacious and clean and staff were accommodating. A Denny's is next door and also another restraunt, CVS across the street, so very convenient and only a short drive to the wharf, Pacific Grove and Carmel.
The rooms were so large and clean! Very comfortable place and friendly staff. Rooms were updated, and the price was amazing for the quality. The kids loved the pool and we loved relaxing by it while the played. Close to all amenities, restaurants, beach, shopping. Will be back again!
Lasneena the host at check in was a treat after a long day your ready for some rest and her smiling face and kind disposition. I am a light sleeper and asked for a quiet room she gave me the most quiet room in the hotel. I am very happy. I slept well. Jim Mortensen Windsor Ca Aka Bargain Batman
I had the best time at this hotel. It was huge and so beautiful. The check in was great, the breakfast was amazing. Id never seen a pancake making machine, it was cool. Lots to choose from from 7-10am. I was minutes from the beach, next door were restaurants. I had a blast and will definitely be back.
This was a last minute stay. Our room was large and in good shape, but located essentially in the lobby. The breakfast spread was against our wall -- I got woken up by them setting up. If we had a better room location, I think it would have been totally quiet.
I have stayed at hotels on the beach in Monterey that do not come close in comparison to this Best Western De Anza Inn on North Fremont Street in Monterey. over the top beautiful excellent room very big very clean super nice people and it comes with a hot continental breakfast... also having a beautiful spacious work desk to sit at that also includes the old fashioned pad of paper with the hotel pen and it has a microwave a refrigerator and keurig coffee maker, mine has a sofa with a pull-out bed in it and I love the koi fish as you enter there are koi fish in the lobby beautiful property it's a Five Star Plus it was worth the drive I drove two and a half hours today and I could not be happier....A++++++
We have two small kids and chose this hotel for the pull out couch and the amenities like the microwave and mini fridge. With everything that came with the room we felt it was a great price. Loved having breakfast conveniently downstairs and felt safe staying here. The ambiance was delightful and my kids enjoyed that the hotel is dog friendly as well.
This was a great best western. The lo action is awesome and was decently priced. I felt that the price was about 30.00 over compared to rates at other best westerns I have stayed i. At other destination sites. Overall though, good experience.
Dont stay here. The staff is incredibly rude. We had to keep waiting for help with the pancake machine which wasn't working correctly. My son went and asked a worker for help and they went and walked away. Do we continued to wait. Then when they finally got it fixed we we were told it was for another person so then we had another long wait due to the machine malfunctioning again.
Stayed in a suite with three queen beds and one pull out couch. This review is only for the queen beds because we didn't use the pull out couch. The room was super outdated from the décor and furniture to the beds and pillows but the room appeared to be clean. The beds were super uncomfortable, you could feel the springs against your back when you sit or lie down on the bed. We are average sized people, this wasn't because we are tall or heavy people. The pillows were super flat and uncomfortable even though they gave us four pillows per bed which means each person could use two pillows each yet it didn't help. Seems like there might not be an air conditioner or any circulation of air in our individual rooms and shared living room. When we went into the lobby the air / air conditioner was blowing cold but our rooms felt humid and there was no thermostat to set air/ac. We had to crack open the windows. They has this built in old looking heater but didn't seem to turn on. There were also two doors from the shared living room that lead to the front of the hotel and parking lot which was a little weird for the layout and possible safety concern if doors weren't locked or can't lock. The free breakfast was basic yet convenient and nice to have. The workers we interacted with were nice and helpful. It was super easy to check in and check out. The main reason the overall rating is average is because of the nice workers and how clean the rooms appeared to be. With the expensive price we payed and the poor quality of beds/pillows we experienced, we won't be staying here again if we come back. We are not picky people and didn't expect memory foam beds/ pillows but wanted to give people a heads up so they weren't surprised if they have a similar experience. This is also located on a busy street so you will hear noise coming from cars at night, with the window open you can definitely hear them so if you are a light sleep, I would recommend bringing ear plugs.…
