Our room was very dirty when we arrived. The room wasn’t maintained, there was missing paint damage everywhere, kids had wrote on the art hanging in the room, there was mold on the shower ceiling and on the shower door, almost all our towels had yellow stains on them, the curtains also had writing on it too. The worst part was the bed- the floor is more comfortable than the bed. Sent all the photos to the hotel and have yet to hear back from them. So t stay here- there’s a best western next door that probably is better.
I booked this room with a jacuzzi for $400 because it was my 1st visit to monterey bay. I thought it would be a nice ending to my all day adventure out in the cold. What a mistake! The water pressure was so low it would have taken hours to fill the tub! When i called the office they said " turn on the cold water to help with the pressure" the water was luke warm to begin with! Not to mention the curtain had a hole in it and it wouldn't close all the way!
We were greeted by John at the front desk and his hospitality and knowledge was second to none. This is a lovely boutique hotel, impeccably clean, well appointed with a fantastic view and delicious food within walking distance. Thank you for the wonderful visit, April and I had a wonderful time and we highly recommend the Estero Inn. We'll definitely be back! Cheers!
The place is actually quiet and very clean. Nice sheets, bed and towels but they have a bad check-in policy. They also had no extra pillows. When you check in, they charge your card an additional $100 for "eventualities", but there aren't any. No mini bar etc. The norm is that the next day or whenever you check out, the hotel doesn't process the charge. Not at this Inn. They process it and they tell you that you will get a refund in 10 days. Not the next business day, but 10 days. that is totally unacceptable since there isn't anything you can charge on your card at this Inn onto your room.
I am disabled the room was nice bed is too high there is no service in the hotel if he's basically Motel the clerk in the reception was cold location is good not far from the aquarium private was not cheap
They let us check in 30 minutes early (3:30) however, the room wasn’t cleaned. I was advised that the room will be done in 15-30 minutes. Sadly. the room wasn’t ready until 5:12. I had an autistic toddler and an infant that soiled his pamper. No accommodations offered!
The room was nice and clean, and the beds comfortable. I loved all of the flowers and plants everywhere, even in little planters on railings! Oscar was super friendly & great at helping us out! Thanks again Oscar!!
We had a family room that was basically in the basement (down uneven stairs and facing the road below the rest of the rooms). At $369 a night I was expecting a cleaner and more comfortable room set up. The floors were sandy and sticky, the bathroom smelled like mold, and the mattresses and pillows were so uncomfortable that even my kids mentioned it. Above us was another family (which was a surprise since I thought it was a one story motor lodge) and we were awakened by them walking around and flushing the toilet a few times during the night - they weren’t noisy, just moving around. The “complimentary breakfast” was the most underwhelming I’ve had in a motel in the last 20 years - it was coffee, packaged pastries like you find at a convenience store and granola bars, with no kid beverage options. If I were paying $100 a night this would be fine, but at $369 a night I would expect a few more items - at least toss in some yogurt and fresh fruit, and some instant oatmeal packets and hot cocoa packets would be nice. I noticed a number of things still said “Comfort Inn” like the map of the property in the office and the wifi, which made me wonder if this had slipped and no longer met their minimum requirements and was renamed. Overall the property felt cheaply flipped for photos to look modernized but no one was keeping up with things - for example the outdoor furniture looked newer but very dirty - needed a wipe down/wash to remove food and spilled drink debris. If you get a great deal on a room, this is a marginally acceptable place to stay, but for $369 a night it’s unacceptable. My advice would be to select something else.…
I was very skeptical about reserving this room due to the mixed reviews, however the room was great. It was a bit small but it was perfect for just my husband and I. The room was really clean and has been renovated. The bathroom was actually nice with a glass barn style door and shower doors. The lobby had coffee all day and had pastries for breakfast. Area was close to the Del Monte Shopping Center and about 5 mins or less to Cannery Row/Fisherman's Warf. Overall this was a great place to stay with a great location. Booked through Priceline and had a smooth transaction.
An amazing place to stay. I would definitely stay there again!. The breakfast was great and surroundings lovely! My cousin and her husband also enjoyed their time there. The beds were great and the room was very pretty.
