Hotel Pacific hosted our conference last week, providing rooms for close to 75 of our attendees. The suites were charming, warm and yet perfect for small meetings; the front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful; and the proximity to Old Monterey was really a treat.

This place is strange, it's more of a motel than a hotel, no bar and an expanse of motel style rooms across a wide area with lots of access from the street that makes one feel like it's not secure. Being charged $20 per night for car parking is a bit of a rip off to be honest, wasn't happy...

PROS: -The rooms are great. -It was rainy a lot of our stay so the fireplace felt perfect! -The little extra space provided by this hotel goes a long way if you are staying with your family. -The location is spot on. CONS: -Breakfast is crowded and not very good. -When checking in late at night the employee acted like...

An excellent location in downtown Monterey with very nice rooms. The front office staff was particularly helpful in recommending room types and in assisting in other ways. The room types vary, so confirm the pros and cons of location and amenities. We had a very nice stay!

As I said in the title, I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Monterey area. I live here, but just stayed to have a little bit of a change of scenery-- it was well worth the money. This is a great hotel for couples, especially, since it is situated in close proximity to the timeless Warf, and...

Excellent location in historic center of Monterey, but there's construction across the street. The hotel is constructed quite nicely, but it seems like the owner is deferring maintenance. The evening staff upon our arrival treated us like tourists, not guests. An okay place, but not up to their promotions.

this hotel is within walking distance to Fisherman's wharf. Be prepared to pay an additional $20 per night for parking in the tight basement lot. Pillows are small and flat, no robes or slippers are provided.

Booked this hotel through Groupon for a pleasure/business trip due to the grounds and amenities viewed on their website. The hotel is a typical "California beach" style hotel with outdoor walkways to the rooms. The room was very large with a cathedral ceiling with a large ceiling fan. The bed was kind size and comfortable. There was a gas fireplace...

Always clean and comfortable rooms, and great friendly service. We were able to walk to Fisherman's wharf and have lunch at the Grotto and just watch the fishing boats. Very relaxing and always too short a visit. I did notice they are starting to renovate, which would make it even more appealing.
